Fanni was clearly very knowledgeable about the Basillica and pointed out so much symbolism that would have been lost on us. My partner struggled with the fact that dhe spoke very quietly but we ultimately found the guide very helpful and interesting

Our guide Barbara was brilliant, her English was great and she took time to explain things in a way which was engaging and interesting. The basilica was beautiful and quite different from other European ones which made it more interesting. The cruise was beautiful, at night everything was lit up and gave a magical feel. Highly recommend doing both

Very enjoyable tour. Fanni, our guide, was very knowledgeable and clearly had a passion for both the history and art of the Basilica. She taught us about all the symbolic meanings within both the architecture and art in great detail which I really appreciateed. Was truly a worthwhile experience that I would recommend to everyone.

It was a really interesting visit! Our guide Marina took us inside the Basilica and showed us every monument and portrait, telling us about the history of Budapest. It was really enjoyable listening to her. Well done to her and her professionalism! Recommended.

Beaux monuments . Par contre, guide que l'on n'entendait pas bien dans la basilique Nous avons pris un combo pour la basilique et le parlement pour 2 personnes mais seul un ticket avait été édité pour le parlement : incompréhensible d'avoir le combo juste pour une personne... Points de RDV pas assez précis et personnels qui donnent les tickets au parlement très désagréables

This experience is not suitable for wheelchair users due to accessibility limitations.

Additional information

On Saturdays, the church may close temporarily for 30 to 60 minutes due to wedding ceremonies.

If the church area is closed for a special ceremony, you can start your visit with the terrace and treasury, then return to the church once it reopens.

You can take one of the two elevators to reach the terrace or climb 160 steps if the elevator has long queues.

Landmark: In front of the Basilica Ticket Office. It is on the square, 50 meters to the right from the steps of Saint Stephen's Basilica, next to the Starbucks coffee shop.

Guide Identifier:Your tour guide will hold a sign "GUIDED TOUR". If the line is long at the ticket office, the tour guide will stay a few meters away from the crowd, near Starbucks, so as to be seen better.
