We(my wife and almost 4 year old daughter)had a wonderful day at the Singapore zoo. Feeding the giraffes was an amazing experience, and the staff were all very kind and helpful. We were especially impressed by how freely the animals can move around here, which makes the park feel very natural. It’s a great place for visitors of all ages, and we highly recommend it.

Amazing animals to view and beautiful forestry. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the tram rides as it's not always easy to walk the whole course. We were a party of 3 who all agreed that it was a most enjoyable experience. If you're visiting Singapore please don't miss the zoo...it's so worthwhile.

We traveled from United States, just to see the panda, I accidentally bought tickets for the animal zoo, and not the Water side of the park, one of the staff named Eddie, switched my tickets over to the waterside, he was very friendly and very helpful thank you Eddie

Visit Singapore Zoo, home to elephants, lions, orangutans, and more. Go around the park on a tram while listening to animal stories via onboard commentary and visit 11 zones that mirror natural habitats.

Walk alongside kangaroos in Australasia, meet orangutans and stroll through a biodome where butterflies, lemurs, and sloths roam freely.

Singapore Zoo is a must do! We only had 1 day so chose to do the Singapore Zoo and River Wonders. There was plenty time to do both and still take in all its beauty. We loved how open and free the animals were, and how clean the place is kept. At River Wonders my husband loved the giant Arapaima fish, he had previously seen on a show called River Monsters and couldn't believe how big they really are. Our kids enjoyed the boat ride which was a cheap little add on and was good to break up the walking. We didn't use the tram even though we paid for it as it was always full and we were happy to walk and look at all the exhibits. My favourite was the River Otters and the Red Panda, I could of sat and watched them all day. Overall I highly recommend getting out of the city for the day and making a trip to the zoo.

I enjoyed the variety of animals and the fact that you could travel by tram and get off where you wanted. In addition, the vegetation around the property was stunning. Would love to come back in the future.

Getting started

Enter Singapore Zoo with your ticket and hop on the complimentary tram for easy travel across the park. The recorded commentary shares fun animal facts and stories as you ride between zones.

What to expect

11 zones to explore: Wander through Wild Africa, Australasia, Fragile Forest, the Great Rift Valley of Ethiopia, Primate Kingdom, Treetops Trail, Reptile Kingdom, KidzWorld, RepTopia, Tortoise Shell-ter, and Orangutan Island & Boardwalk.

4,200+ animals, 300+ species: Meet lions, orangutans, kangaroos, tortoises, reptiles, and many more.

Rainforest setting: Discover the zoo’s unique open habitats that immerse you in a lush tropical environment.

Tram ride included: Save energy with a complimentary tram ride that connects key exhibits, complete with commentary.

What to bring

Light clothes, comfy shoes, sunscreen, cap, mosquito repellent, and a poncho or umbrella.

Bring a reusable water bottle – refill stations are available.

Arrive early on weekdays or visit in the late afternoon.

Arrive 10–15 mins early: Seats fill up fast, especially for Splash Safari. Grab a good spot without the rush.

What's not allowed

There are prohibited areas in the zoo. Do not venture into these zones for your own safety.

Do not feed or tease the animals living in the zoo.

Stay seated the whole duration of the tram ride.

Feel free to take photos for personal use. Flash photography is not allowed.

Smoking is not allowed inside the zoo. You will find a designated smoking point outside the entrance.

Pets and plants are not allowed inside.

Skate scooters, inline skates, rollerblades, tricycles and pull trolleys are not permitted inside.

Turn off flash photography for animals’ comfort.

Accessibility

Ticketing machines (TM), nursing & diaper changing rooms, lost and found, free wifi, stoller, wheelchair access, lockers, prayer rooms, rain gears, first-aid stations, luggage storage are available at the venue.
