After reaching the suburbs of Krakow, meet your licensed guide who’ll take you on a walking tour of the former WWII Krakow-Płaszów concentration camp. Learning about the dark history and cruel past of this camp is sure to be heavy and enlightening at the same time. A quote by Holocaust survivor Dan Gillerman goes: “As the generation of Holocaust survivors and liberators dwindles, the torch of remembrance, or bearing witness, and of education must continue forward’.

See the silent monuments dedicated to the memory of the Holocaust victims and learn about how great and terrible the influence of Nazi rule was in this area. Your guide will illustrate how the deportation of Jews from the Krakow ghetto – in 1942 – proceeded and show you different parts of the camp. Intensive labor was expected here and carried out at the quarry and military factories. Itinerary

• Hop on your cruise at Dietla 1, Krakow around 2pm

• Enjoy a scenic 1-hour cruise along the Vistula River

• After the cruise, be escorted by your guide from the pier by the Qubus hotel

• Continue on to Płaszów by tram (Note: The cost of the tram ticket is not included in the price of the tour and is 4 PLN)

• 1.5-hour walking tour of Płaszów with an English-speaking guide

• The tour ends around 5pm at the Dworcowa stop
