The Lakes were beautiful and the guide was great. Driver too! However, the bus was very cramped and luggage in the aisles and our knees against the chair in front of each of us. This is a lot for a 3.5 hour drive one way. It is advertised as 2.5 hours.

Een super leuke dag gehad! Plitvicemeren is echt de moeite waard! We hadden twee erg fijne gidsen die ons heel veel informatie vertelden over het park en de omgeving. Ook de chauffeur bracht ons veilig en wel op bestemming en terug. Je kreeg ook nog even vrije tijd en had altijd genoeg kansen om mooie foto's te nemen. Echt een aanrader! We moesten ook nooit aanschuiven aangezien Mia een route uitstippelde op basis van waar er veel volk stond. Echt een top dag!

The park is amazing! But the highlight was our spectacular tour guide. When we arrived, out of nowhere, a thunderstorm hit. Our guide pivoted from the original plan and ensured the group was as protected as possible.

Nous étions 4 françaises en vacances en Croatie, puis nous avons décidé de choisir cette excursion au parc national des lacs de Plitvice. C'était juste magnifique ! Nous avons passé un super moment en compagnie de Mia notre guide qui était au top ! Nous vous recommandons cette excursion !

Mia was an excellent and entertaining guide. Plitvice is a beautiful place. Take your time, a whole day is recommended. Two things: if you cannot climb multiple sets of stairs it will be difficult for you to see the whole park and bring your own food and drink.

Getting started

Your day begins with pickup from a central meeting point in Split. Settle into a comfortable, air-conditioned coach for a 3.5-hour ride to the national park, with scenic views and short stops along the way. Your guide will brief you on the day’s plan and park regulations.

Plitvice Lakes National Park

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Plitvice is known for its 16 terraced lakes connected by cascading waterfalls and wooden walkways that wind through forest and water.

What to expect

Follow your guide through the Upper and Lower Lakes on a walking route that covers boardwalks, forest trails, and panoramic lookouts.

Cruise across Kozjak Lake by electric boat and ride the panoramic train through the park’s wooded landscapes.

Learn about the park’s unique geology, wildlife, and karst formations as you explore.

Enjoy 4–5 hours inside the park with ample time for photos, short breaks, and free exploration.
