It is not by accident globally renowned. Peggy collected with a keen eye and many of the works are among the masterpieces of the artists. While the collection itself is not outstandingly large, the premises are close to perfect, including the gardens with sculptures by prime modern and postmodern artists, the paintings nicely framed, and so overall this is well worth a visit, even though it is a bit pricey compared to other globally important collections of international museums and private collectors' possessions that are on public display at 17,18 euros. Do visit if modern art from the 1910s through 1970s is your interest!

Muy buena experiencia de visita al museo! Ya teníamos entradas pre-bookeadas, pero pudimos pasar antes del horario sin inconveniente. Las obras son increíbles, la casa es soñada, y todo súper claro. La exhibición temporaria de Lucio Fontana súper original, recomiendo no perderla.

What a fantastical experience! I gasped aloud as I stepped into the gardens - pure joy and restive pleasure. I danced through the phenomenal collection of favorites and new friends. Even the cafe offered a sampling of healthy brilliance. A wonderful finishing act!

Venice's Art Gem

The Peggy Guggenheim Collection is undoubtedly one of the most significant museums that house European and American art of the 20th century! Located in Peggy Guggenheim’s former home, Palazzo Venier dei Leoni (on Venice’s Grand Canal), there is much to be amazed by. Waltz through Peggy Guggenheim’s personal collection, including masterpieces from the Hannelore B. and Rudolph B. Schulhof Collection, multiple temporary exhibitions, and a dedicated sculpture garden.

Modern Art

Head into the museum and begin sifting through the works of modern art by Picasso, Pollock, Calder, and Dalí! Gasp at the artists’ portrayal of various art forms, like Cubism, Surrealism, and Abstract Expressionism. Don’t forget to check out the Patsy R. and Raymond D.
