Rundum super! Die Wegbeschreibung zu den Katakomben war gut verständlich. Der Eintritt mit dem Onlineticket lief reibungslos ab. Die Katakomben selbst sind ein Erlebnis, welches man in Paris nicht verpassen sollte. Da die Katakomben schnell ausgebucht waren, lohnt sich eine Buchung 2 Wochen im Voraus. Ein Eintritt für "Laufkundschaft" war nämlich an dem Tag nicht mehr möglich. Der Audioguide ist auch auf deutsch erhältlich und erzählt die Geschichte der Katakomben spannend aber nicht zu lang. Anhören lohnt sich! Zuletzt natürlich ein Muss für alle 'Queens of the Stone Age" Fans 🤟😊

Es waren durch die Vorbestellung nur eine bestimmte Anzahl an Besuchern pro Uhrzeit möglich. Jeder bekam einen Audioguide und konnte in seiner Heimatsprache im eigenen Tempo durch die Katakomben gehen. Dadurch verlief die Besichtigung ruhig, es war nicht überfüllt und das war dem Ort in seiner Atmosphäre sehr angemessen. Ich habe in die fremde Welt der Toten gut eintauchen können. This was a well laid out visitor site. The staff were directive, handing out the phones with recorded messages (no headphones) that were paced with the exhibition. I thought it would be colder. There were dozens of steep stairs to descend (and then ascend). Everyone will take what they will from this display. I wasn't expecting to feel this so deeply. The tiny skulls and femurs were shocking at first. Then I began to see them in a different way.

Booking with Headout worked smoothly and the communication was great with email and on the app. We got our tickets without any problem and they worked well to scan on our phone at the door. Audio guide was very helpful. We had always wanted to see the catacombs and this was a good way to do it. For the record, all the time slots were booked for the day when we got there so it's definitely important to book ahead.

What to bring

Comfortable shoes and warm clothing are recommended, as the Catacombs maintain a temperature of around 14°C (57°F) and the tunnels can be slippery.

Bring a valid photo ID matching the name on your booking if requested at the entrance.

What’s not allowed

Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Suitcases, large bags, strollers, and motorcycle helmets are not allowed.

Smoking, drinking, and eating inside is strictly prohibited.

Strollers are not allowed at the venue; use a baby carrier.

Photography is allowed without the use of tripods or bulky equipment.

Pets are not allowed except for service animals.

Accessibility

The Catacombs are not accessible to wheelchair users or those with limited mobility due to numerous stairs (130 steps to enter, 112 steps to exit) and uneven surfaces.

The experience is not recommended for visitors with heart or respiratory conditions, or for those who may be uncomfortable in confined spaces.

Children under 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
