Excellent. The way the headphones tracked out position in the tunnels was fantastic. It was the most informative experience I have had in Paris. I always love the musses d'art and classical concerts but decided to add the catacombs to my time in Paris. Everything was so well organized and so cool in the heat!

The entry was smooth and the headsets worked perfectly as we made our way through the tunnels. Very well explained, interesting in its delivery presenting wonderful ithistorical content. It is clean, well organized, easy to walk through and well worth it. I would highly recommend.

Location was completely fascinating! It is a once in a lifetime experience. They had a respectful tone for the sacred location. Loved having the audio tour. The only thing that could have made the audio tour better would have been to translate the inscriptions as we went along.

Mit den zuvor gebuchten Tickets war der Zutritt sehr einfach und problemlos. Man erhält einen Audioguide in gewünschter Sprache. Es ist sehr interessant. Das Ossarium der Knochen ist beeindruckend und irgendwie erdrückend zugleich. Auf jeden Fall sehenswert.

This was a great experience and I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Paris. The history of the Catacombs was very fascinating and the audio tour was great. So much information. I would love to do it again. Great Experience!!! A++++++

Venture twenty meters below Paris to explore the underground ossuary, where the remains of six millions of Parisians line intricate tunnels. This site, dating back to the late 18th century, offers a rare perspective on the city’s layered history.

Timed entry: Select your preferred time slot to explore the Catacombs without waiting, letting you plan your visit exactly when it suits you.

Audio guide: Available in English, French, Spanish, and German, it shares all the key stories, history, and hidden details of the tunnels, ossuary walls, and Port-Mahon gallery.

Self-guided tour: Move at your own pace through the underground corridors, spending more time on sections that interest you and fully absorbing the fascinating history.

Upgrades

Seine River cruise: Add a 1-hour cruise after your Catacombs visit to see Paris from a completely different perspective, enjoying landmarks like the Eiffel Tower, Louvre, and Notre-Dame from the water. Flexible timing lets you fit it seamlessly into your day.

What to bring

Comfortable shoes and warm clothing are recommended, as the Catacombs maintain a temperature of around 14°C (57°F) and the tunnels can be slippery.

Bring a valid photo ID matching the name on your booking if requested at the entrance.

What’s not allowed

Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Suitcases, large bags, strollers, and motorcycle helmets are not allowed.

Smoking, drinking, and eating inside is strictly prohibited.

Strollers are not allowed at the venue; use a baby carrier.

Photography is allowed without the use of tripods or bulky equipment.

Pets are not allowed except for service animals.

Accessibility

The Catacombs are not accessible to wheelchair users or those with limited mobility due to numerous stairs (130 steps to enter, 112 steps to exit) and uneven surfaces.

The experience is not recommended for visitors with heart or respiratory conditions, or for those who may be uncomfortable in confined spaces.

Children under 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
