Lo que más me ha gustado es la Quintabde Regaleira, un lugar para perderse en todos los enigmas que la rodea. No entiendo porque no venden la entrada solo para eso, te hacen comprar también la del Palacio

Highlight for me was the initation well that looks so strange with its underground tunnel network and Templars connection, as well as the very impressive state rooms of the national palace!

It was an excellent tour, the only reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 stars because we paid extra for audio etc which we found out was complimentary on site .

Thoroughly enjoyed the National Palace in Sintra. The free audio and displays were easy to access and very enjoyable. Stimulated our own further reading especially around Phillipa of Lancaster seeing as we are from Lancaster UK. The Routes around both Palaces were planned out well, we were glad to avoid a large tour group with our own audio. We took a Bolt taxi to Pena palace from the other side of the village. We walked back via the Moor castle. The path was clear had new huge steps on much of the first area near Pena. Thankfully it was all downhill. Arrive in time to view the Moor castle as you have to leave by 6pm. The castle itself is very step. Do note: sadly none of the castles considered disabled access, although Pena had a bus for €4.10 to get up from the entrance to the castle archway. However there was a steep ramp up inside through the tunnel to the first courtyard on cobbles and lots of stairs inside.

The National Palace was possibly the highlight of our Sintra day. So well preserved and absolutely amazing. It was not crowded and the experience was amazing.

Sintra was amazing in general. The National Palace was was beautiful on the inside with some great historical displays and videos. Highly recommend!

Grab these tickets to the National Palace of Sintra so you can explore over 1,000 years of Portuguese history. The palace is immediately discernible by its two conical chimneys - a characteristic trait of Sintra itself. With its richly decorated rooms, galleries and corridors, it was a favorite for a succession of Portuguese royal families and their retinues, right until the end of the monarchy in 1910.

Spend your time marveling at how the natural landscape was used to merge Manueline, Gothic, and Mudejar designs. The windows with surmounted arches and walls covered in glazed tiles of geometric patterns are a testament to medieval brushwork and craftsmanship.

What to bring

Carry plenty of water, a hat, and sunglasses if you're visiting in the summer.

Bring your camera along to capture images of the palace's interiors and gardens.

Ensure your phone's fully charged and bring your trusted earphones along for the best audio guide experience.

What's not allowed

Large backpacks, suitcases, drones, and selfie sticks are not allowed at the palace.

Pets are not allowed at the palace except for a guide dog.

Accessibility

The palace is wheelchair accessible, but some areas might be hard to reach.

You can bring your guide dogs to the venue.
