Impersonal tour. Felt herded as so busy. The ai tour of Herculaneum was unimpressive so we ended up going round u guided. Didn't have long enough to truly see the site. Had no clue how long the climb at Vesuvius would be. Regret booking via this agent which was in fact through Around Vesuvius.

Ik ben ontgoocheld in deze excursie. Er werd ons een skip-the-line met een 8-tal mensen beloofd op de top van de Vesuvius met rondleiding door een vulkanoloog in het Engel. We zijn met ons busje van 25 personen gewoon elk op eigen tempo naar boven gewandeld. Er was aan de top geen enkele "line" om te skippen. Er was ook geen gids die ons in het Engels de rondleiding wou geven. Er stonden gidsen gewoon te staan en we kregen als antwoord dat we moesten afwachten of er nog mensen een engelstalige gids wilden want voor ons 2 wilden ze het niet doen. Echt een afknapper. Daarna zijn we doorgereden met het busje naar Herculaneum. De beloofde audiogids was blijkbaar iets wat we zelf op onze GSM moesten downloaden. Ik heb geen oortjes bij dus dat was zeer onhandig om op die manier rond te lopen. Bovendien blokkeerde het systeem na de introductie en geraakte ik er daarna niet meer op met mijn GSM. Ik wil mijn GSM gebruiken om foto's te nemen en niet als audioguide. Er was dus een zeer slechte connectie met 4G + de batterij van mijn GSM was ook nooit voldoende geweest mocht ik de audioguide toch nog kunnen ontvangen hebben via mijn GSM.
