Amazing hike, highly recommend. My tour guide for the hike yman (I could be spelling that wrong) was so lovely and knowledgeable. He also should be getting paid extra for his photography skills. My driver for the day Baim was lovely taking me to all the waterfalls and suggesting other great spots. Overall amazing experience

Our jeep driver Made Wage was fantastic. Was a great trip up the mountain and seeing the lava fields. He was insightful, entertaining and a great driver. Our time in Ubud was also brilliant - our driver Tony was helpful, super prompt on pick ups and friendly. Helped guide us through what options would suit us best and drove us both to the mountain and back smoothly! Highly recommend both :)

The guides of this tour made it especially enjoying and satisfying Dek Astra was accommodating, knowledgeable and even extended the 6 hour tour to complete the destinations that we wanted. The jeep guide was exordinary giving us the history and daily lives of Batur, non stop taking beautiful pictures and videos for us.

This was an amazing experience from start to finish! Tony, our driver, was impeccable: we felt very safe in his car because he didn't drive recklessly at all, and he was also very flexible on time schedule and pickup spots. Getting to the top of mt Batur was a tough challenge but very rewarding, the view from up there is breath taking. Charlie, our hiking guide, was incredible: he didnt put pressure on us for our slow pace, and he helped us throughout the experience, he even took picture for us. The tour at the coffee plantation was also super interesting, a lot of friendly and hard-working people explained us how they produce do many local products, from luwak coffee to cacao to cinnamon. Super reccomended experience, just beware: the mt batur hike is pretty unforgiving if you are out of shape, luckily there are bikes and jeeps to easily get close to the top!

Our driver, Wayan, was great. My husband and I were late getting to our hotel lobby as I mixed up our pick up time, but he was very patient and kind and still got us to Mr. Batur on time for our hike. The hike itself was incredible! Our trekking guide, Nova, is as good as they come. He kept things fun while also looking out for our safety the whole way. Not to mention took some killer sunrise photos and videos of us once we reached the top. After our trek back down, Wayan took back over and drove us around Ubud for a six hour tour. He made sure we got to see everything on our list and safely got us back home. I always felt safe even in the thick of Bali traffic that evening. Wayan and Nova are the best!

The trek is not recommended for pregnant women.

This trek is not recommended for those aged 65 years and above, and those aged 2 years and under.

This activity is not recommended for those with back, heart, or other serious medical conditions.

You can choose to go for a jeep ride instead of a trek if you have the above conditions.

The hike is long: 1.5 hours one-way. And it gets chilly – the summit temperature ranges between 8° to 15° C
