The whale watching cruise was an amazing experience from the moment I was greeted at the wharf. The staff were very friendly as they welcomed us onboard. We were taken to a place where the whales had been spotted. Soon there they were mums and calves frolicking in the water. Breaching and putting on a wonderful show. They swam up to the boat as we followed their movements. When we had to turn back to shore we discovered a pod of dolphins who also played and leapt out of the water to our delight. We were treated to a magnificent show. Weather was perfect! 10 out of 10 for the cruise and crew from Headout Jervis Bay

Although we didn't see any whales or dolphins, the captain took us along the coastline to point out key beaches, flora and fauna that exists in the area.

The cruiise itself was fabulous, we saw a number of active whales; thte staff were friendly and professional. The booking itself didn't go smoothly- the time was wrong- as in there was no schedueld cruise for the time we were booked in for which was annoying and stressful! Once I contacted the actual Jervis Bay Cruise office it was sorted and we got to enjoy our cruise. I would be very particular and htoroughly check who I ma booking wiht next time as I had thought it was teh office itself but it turned out to be through a booking agent in another country.

One beautiful cruise that will always in our memories! We we blessed with great viewing of whales. Some were closer to the boat and others were seen in a distance. We enjoyed delicious carrot cake and coffee on the trip bay to Jervis bay. We really recommend this trip if you want to relax, enjoy a cruise on the water and be blessed with great sightings.

We absolutely enjoyed our morning out...the captain was fantastic with his persistence in finding whales for us and the beautiful older lady was absolutely beautiful..helping the people with sea sickness etc. I will definitely recommend 👌 you to every one and it was great value for money.

Was an amazing morning on the water, only got a few glimpses of the whales, but the boat trip itself was great, a fair few people being sick which were being looked after really well, the crew were extremely helpful & deserve more money🤣 thanks so much for a great experience.

Getting started

Arrive at Jervis Bay Wild Cruise Terminal, Huskisson, at least 15 minutes before departure. Present your e-voucher at check-in, then board our purpose-built vessel for a brief safety briefing before you set sail.

What to expect

Jervis Bay lies just over a 2½-hour drive south of Sydney CBD in a protected marine sanctuary. Between May and November, Humpback and Southern Right whales migrate through these calm, turquoise waters—often accompanied by curious calves. On your 2-hour voyage, you’ll:

Witness spectacular displays: breaching, tail-slaps, and close approaches.

Spot resident bottlenose dolphins riding our bow wake.

Photograph panoramic coastlines: white-sand beaches, sea cliffs, and secret coves.
