The sunrise from the balloon is unreal, like the colors went all pink and gold. Our pilot Jamal was so chill and explained everything (felt safe the whole time). There was a bit of waiting around before we actually took off, but the fresh bread + mint tea made it OK. Don’t skip the Berber breakfast after, the honey pancakes are YUM. The drive out was a little bumpy but got there in time to catch the balloon inflating—kinda wild seeing the flames up close. Sunrise was STUNNING but tbh it got a bit crowded in the basket, like lots of elbows everywhere. Still, the views over the Atlas were wow. Breakfast was tasty but a bit rushed. Got up at 4am (def not a morning person) but the hot air balloon ride made it SO worth it. Staff was super friendly, kept joking with us and took group pics. The view over the mountains is something I’ll never forget. A bit chilly up there so bring a jacket. Breakfast was more than I expected—those olives with bread? Chef’s kiss. Wouldn’t bother with the camels next time.
