We arrived early(15min prior) and waited at the right stop at the central Station (#7) for another 35 min (past scheduled time) but the bus never arrived. This was very annoying because we planned the hop on hop off bus to get to the rheintower where we had a ticket for a certain timeslot. This caused more headaches because we had to switch to public transport and there were multiple detours because of construction. And we are not familiar with the surroundings.

The sightseeing tour was useful to understand Dusseldorf and was full of interesting details, though has only seven stops.

We love hearing the history about places with these types of buses, so enjoyed this one too, but there were churches and buildings we drove by during silent periods and heard nothing about. Ticketing was easy, but the website said Stop 4 had changed to another address due to construction. We're glad we were able to talk with someone (another passenger) at the stop since that no longer appeared to be true and we were using Stop 4 as our first entry point. We'd have missed it if we went to where the website said to go, and then we'd have been livid.

Additional information

Due to a construction site, the 04 Rheinterrasse/Ehrenhof stop had to be relocated. It is now just 200m away at the level of Cecilienallee 2 in front of the Dusseldorf district government building.

The 06 Academy of Art stop is unserviceable on Saturdays.
