Start your day by entering Tokyo's famous sumo arena, where the Grand Sumo Tournament takes place. You'll be guided by an English-speaking sumo expert who will provide an engaging narrative about the rituals, traditions, and rules of sumo wrestling. While comfortably seated in your B-class or C-class seat, witness the adrenaline-pumping matches between top sumo wrestlers. This is a group experience, and you'll be part of a small group of 15-20 guests.

    Sumo feast

    Your sumo journey doesn’t end with the tournament. Depending on the ticket option you select, you can extend your sumo experience to a local chanko hot pot restaurant. This is optional but highly recommended, as chanko hot pot is a traditional meal consumed by sumo wrestlers. It offers a unique opportunity to taste a part of sumo culture, making your experience truly immersive. Whether you choose the standard tour or the tour with dinner, this Tokyo Grand Sumo Tournament Experience promises an unforgettable peek into the thrilling world of sumo wrestling.

  • What's not allowed

    • Due to venue restrictions, pets cannot tag along on this experience.
    • Keep in mind outside food and beverages are not allowed. Pack wisely!

    Accessibility

    • This experience is accessible by wheelchairs and prams/strollers.
    • Wheelchair storage is on the first floor, but seats are on the second. Guests must be able to climb stairs independently or with family assistance.

    Additional information

    • If dinner is selected, Sukiyaki or vegetarian option is available upon request at least one week in advance.
    • Infants must sit on your lap.
    • Children must be accompanied by an adult (18 or older).
    • Seats will be on the second floor in B (rows 7-11) or C chair seats. The tour will have a maximum of 20 people in the same area with an English-speaking guide.
    • Your voucher will be emailed to you instantly.

    • Please arrive at the meeting point 15 mins before the scheduled time of your tour to avoid any delays.

    • Display the voucher on your mobile phone with a valid photo ID at the meeting point.
