Dover castle is worth the drive, the grounds ard astounding . England's history. It's so interesting andover castle definitely does not lack that. The walk to the roof Is must do, the view from up there is breathtaking., the ocean the grounds the hills. I cannot say enough about dover castle. I also liked the fact that it's 5 minutes away from the White Cliffs of Dover. you can't go to dover castle without seeing the cliffs too. Spectacular! A little but if a stroll but priceless

The Dover Castle visit was well worth doing. The Castle itself is in a great state of repair, and it was some really interesting facts were shared with us by the volunteers who are situated in each of the great rooms, for example, when I commented on the diminutive size of the beds in the guest suite, we learned that royalty slept in a seated position. As someone with a keen interest in WWWII, the war tunnels were of particular interest to me. Fascinating stuff.

Great staff all the way from the ticket gate to the exhibition areas thought the castle. One of the best walk around a castle I've had plenty to see from various time periods. The little restaurant had great food well organised. Would recommend this to anyone one and a must to do.

The castle is magnificent. I loved walk around, see the rooms. I especially loved to see the roman pharos and St Mary at Castro church.

Il castello è meraviglioso, gli operatori disponibili e gentili. Mi è piaciuta la possibilità di girare il castello in completa autonomia. È molto curato sia nel mantenimento della struttura, che nell' esposizione che è immersiva ed interattiva. Il castello in sé ci è piaciuto moltissimo, all' interno di possono trovare "attori" in costume d'epoca pronti a spiegare usi e costumi del castello, dal menestrello alla realizzazione di candele con metodo tradizionale. Il camino è stato acceso veramente tanto che per il castello abbiamo sentito l'odore della legna ardere... La galleria espositiva sulla seconda guerra mondiale ad ingresso gratuito all'interno del castello è assolutamente da vedere!!! Conserva dei pezzi di storia da non perdere! (È gradita una donazione che noi abbiamo lasciato più che volentieri data la cura con cui è conservato ed esposto tutto). Infermeria e tunnel sotterranei sono un'esperienza vera e propria: ambientazioni, luci e persino odori. Abbiamo veramente adorato ogni momento della giornata. Mi aspettavo una bel castello ma una volta lì ha superato le mie aspettative. Per motivi di tempo non abbiamo potuto percorrere il sentiero per arrivare alle scogliere, ma il personale ci ha gentilmente chiamato un taxi per arrivare in soli 5 minuti... Assolutamente conigliata come metà per gli appassionati di storia ma anche di paesaggi. Ci torneremo sicuramente!
