We loved our tour with Bang (hope i'm spelling it right). He was a lovely tourguide, answered all our questions and explained everything so well. He was very passionate about it. We enormously enjoyed the Cu Chi Tunnels. The activity was very well organised and timed. Our guide Steve was very knowledgeable and talked with great ease about Vietnam War, the city and local culture. The place is worth visiting if you are interested in history and want to learn about the battlefields and experience the real war hideouts and places of ambush. The tour offered other attractions , such as visit to those afflicted by the Vietnam War craftsmen’s workshop, now supported by the Vietnamese Government, cassava tasting and shooting (optional). Thank you.

O passeio do Cu Chi Tunnels foi incrível, exatamente como imaginei! O guia explicou tudo direitinho, deu várias dicas . Foi tudo muito bem organizado. O almoço não estava incluso, porém o restaurante era ótimo e a comida deliciosa e em conta. O Saigon Sky Deck tem uma vista bacana, porém achei dispensável. Não iria novamente.

Cu chi tunnel with Vinny alias Vin Diesel was totally amazing !!! My kids loved it and we had a small group (11 pax). The landmark 81 was fun also because we had the package picture and VR game. It's almost empty in this area. But the view is nice

Getting started

Get picked up from your hotel in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City and enjoy a scenic 90-minute drive to the Ben Dinh site.

What to expect

Historical introduction

Start with a short documentary that outlines the construction and wartime use of the tunnels.

Tunnel exploration

Spend around 2 hours on-site crawling through tunnel sections and exploring underground kitchens, living quarters, command centers, and escape routes.

Life underground

Learn how the Viet Cong survived using hidden wells, makeshift hospitals, food storage, and clever design—even during intense bombing raids.

Trap demonstrations

Watch live demonstrations of booby traps and hear real stories of guerrilla warfare.

What to bring

Wear comfortable shoes as the terrain is rugged and bring sunglasses, insect repellent, and a sun hat.

Only bring small bags or backpacks as large items may hinder movement through the tunnels.

What’s not allowed

Smoking is not allowed inside the tunnels.

Accessibility

The experience is not wheelchair and pram/stroller accessible.

This experience is not suitable for guests with mobility issues and claustrophobia as the terrain is uneven and the tunnels are very narrow.

Additional information

The tour includes pickup from certain hotels in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. If your accommodation is outside the hotel pick-up area, head to the meet-up location provided.

Pickup times available are 7:30am or 12pm.
