This place is as billed. special. The entry was easy. The parking free. The building and grounds well maintained. For flower lovers , the outside gardens were lovely but the flowers highlight were the original , highly artistic ,fresh arrangements , that dressed every room. They themselves were spectacular . The history of the chateau was also well laid out . Would highly recommend .

The Chateaux Chenoncaux is truly a very special look into an ancient time of French nobility. The ambience is so delightfully soothing and engaging. The gardens and surrounding grounds are beautiful and relaxing. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit and would heartily recommend a visit to this enchanting estate.

The place is a must visit when in Ambrose. It is very well kept and the staff were very corporative. The exhibition were informative and the gardens are kept in the pristine condition The only issue was there was no running water outside the chateau grounds.

There was no line at our arrival time. We purchased tickets easily online on the day of our visit. The gardens were lovely. Beautiful flowers inside and out. Appreciated English version of information. The booklet explaining each room was very informative.

It was very easy to book the tickets! I could find all informations at the same place and the differences between some tickets options. And it is possible to buy, in only one time, several atractions in one place. I strongly recomend it!

This trio of Castles was fantastic, Chenonceau being my favorite. It was nice to know the passes were good for anytime so there was no pressure as when you are driving from place to place things can change.

Getting started

Arrive at Chenonceau and present your pre-booked ticket at the entrance in exchange for a timed-stamped entry ticket. Expect a brief security check before entering the castle grounds.

What to expect

Chenonceau Castle is a masterpiece of French Renaissance architecture built over the Cher River, known as the Ladies’ Castle for its female patrons. Wander through the chateau at your own pace, discovering rooms once occupied by queens and noblewomen.
