Entry was quick and efficient. The histopad was such a great way to enhance the visit and learn loads of history in a fun, interesting way. Chateau de Chambord is an architectural feast on the eyes and the very unusual double helix staircase was something special. I loved it.

Loved the chateau and all the rooms. It was great to see displays in so many rooms which helped make it come alive. It would have been fun to see some mention of the Chambord liquor made in the town of Chambord somewhere near the exit of the chateau

It was a great visit to Chateau Chambord. Easy entry with headout app/tickets. The process was very easy from start to finish and saved a huge amount of time because we did not have to stand in a line.

Château de Chambord et Amboise supers ; circuit fluide. Ipad fourni pour les visites et comprisq dans le prix d'entrée. Par contre Chenonceau l'Ipad est facturé 5€ alors que l'entrée au château et la plus chère de toutes ! en plus difficile de circuler alors que plusieurs groupes de 30 personnes arrivent en même temps ! Il devrait y avoir des horaires précis pour les groupes pour l'organisation. Dommage car ce château est intéressa&nt et les j

Reservering ging heel gemakkelijk. We konden op die manier snel naar binnen, zonder wachttijd. Een bijzonder kasteel waar veel kamers te zien zijn, die ook allemaal prachtig ingericht zijn, een heel mooie ervaring.

Das Schloss ist wirklich phantastisch. Die Innenräume sind gut restauriert und man kann viele alte Möbel und Gegenstände sehen, was nicht in allen Schlössern der Fall ist. Die Gartenanlage ist weiläufig und nicht so spektakulär wie bei anden Schlössern. Es sind viele Treppen zu bewältigen, man muss gut zu Fuß sein. Das Historypad hat nochmal zusätzich Eindrücke vom früheren Leben im Schloss ermöglicht. Die Schatzsuche ist nett, besonders für Kinder interessant. Das Schloss ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert.

Fue una visita espectacular por su grandiosidad, su estado de conservación y lo bonito que es todo. También me sorprendió la accesibilidad a casi todas las estancias hay muy pocas zonas restringidas al público y conseguí transportarme en el tiempo e imaginarme como señor del palacio... jajaja. SUPER RECOMENDABLE

Admission sans problème, par contre l'audio guide du château,très lourd et encombrant,est nul et ne sert a rien,sinon ce château est unique par sont architecture et la grâce de sa toiture de folie !!!

Getting started

Arrive at the Chambord Castle and head straight to the entrance after security checks. Your ticket skips the long ticket office lines but note that standard security screenings still apply. Have your ID ready for validation, then pick up a free visitor’s guide or watch a 20-minute film to set the scene for your visit.

What to expect

Chambord is the Loire Valley’s largest chateau, built by François I as a symbol of power and heavily inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s vision.

Accessibility

The ground floor is accessible to people with limited mobility. However, there is no elevator serving the first and second floors.

Guide dogs are allowed through the entire estate.

Additional information

There is low connectivity within the castle; download your tickets in advance.

Pets are not allowed inside the castle, gardens, and stables; they are in the park, on a leash.

Since this is a historic site, certain rooms are exceptionally closed to visitors.

Autumns and winters are exceptionally cold inside the castle. Plan accordingly.

Entrance to the castle and gardens is free for:

Children under 18 years old with family accompanied by an adult on an individual visit (on presentation of proof of identity).

European Union nationals under 26 years of age on an individual visit (on presentation of an identity document and a European Union residence permit)

For organized groups, admission is free from November to February for 6-17 year olds and 18-25 year olds from the European Union. From March to October, a reservation fee of €3 per person applies for these two categories.
