La guide, Monica, était fantastique : arrivée 15 minutes avant l’heure, elle a gardé son calme face aux 2 jeunes retardataires qui ont rejoint le groupe qui les attendait sans s’excuser et embrayant sur la visite. Ultra-compétente, érudite tout en restant claire, enthousiaste, sérieuse et en même temps pleine d'humour ! une perle rare (et je sais de quoi je parle, je suis professeure des Universités !) Elle s'est adaptée au groupe hétérogène que nous formions, répondant aux questions, sans jamais se disperser et avec une grande culture classique dans les beaux arts. Un bonheur de faire cette expériece avec elle.

5 stars out of 5 because the gallery was amazing and our tour gide Ana was lovely and knowledgeable BUT the fact that I paid 100 euros for 2 hours and in fact we spent only 1 hour because the gallery closes at 7:00 pm on the dot and I booked the 5:30 slot was really dissapointing. If I knew beforehand I would have picked an earlier slot. We didn't get to see the next floor because the gallery was closing. For anyone that wants to book this: don't choose the 5:30 slot, you will not be able to see everything!

Our tour guide was awesome. He was extremely knowledgeable and he gave a lot of background information throughout the tour. He was very friendly, and he had great communication skills. We had toured the Borghese back in 2012 by ourselves. But this time with a tour guide it was much more meaningful, interesting, educational and memorable.

A nossa gua, Agnes, foi muito educada, atenciosa e tem muito talento pra fazer o que faz. Ela conta as histórias das peças de arte, quadros de maneira interessante e entusiasmada, é impossível não se envolver na atmosfera do lugar e imaginar tudo o q ela relata. O lugar é maravilhoso. Quem gosta de arte, história n pode perder.

Peccato che per motivi personali non siamo riusciti a venire a Roma per Visitare Galleria Borghese. Visto che abbiamo pagato i biglietti di ingresso chiedo se posso avere una riduzione per una nuova visita a ottobre/novembre 2026. In attesa di una vostra risposta vi ringrazio. Like all of these tours it's the guide that makes or breaks the event. Elle (Ella?) was just FANTASTIC! Knowledge, happy to answer individual questions and somehow got us through the whole galleries in the 2 hours that they permit! Wonderful museum, amazing guide! Thank you so much!

I went on my own as my husband is more interested in climbing hills than in art. A very beautiful gallery, although be prepared to walk through a park and need your Google Maps to get to the right place. The park is actually wonderful (at least on a Sunday when I was there). I had problems with the audioguide (yet again) as I apparently entered through the wrong door (although it was the only one to my knowledge) so it didn't know where I was. Luckily, I could eavesdrop some guides so I did get some information, but that's not ideal. The artworks are absolutely amazing, and I cried when I saw my first Carravaggio painting. You can wander around on your own for as long as your ticket allows. There are stairs, and if, like me, your mobility is limited, prepare yourself.

What to expect

Your ticket gives you entry to the Borghese Gallery for a visit of up to 1 or 2 hours, as per the option selected. Inside, you move through its main rooms and collections at a set pace, either independently, with an audio guide, or on a guided tour.

Use your timed entry ticket to access the gallery for a visit duration of up to 1 or 2 hours, depending on the time-slot option you choose. Some options also include express entry.

See highlights of the Borghese collection such as sculptures, paintings, and decorative arts displayed across the gallery’s rooms. Your entry ticket ensures access to the gallery spaces open on the day of your visit.

Choose a guided tour of Borghese Gallery in English or Italian, and follow a structured route in a small group with a maximum of 15 guests for 2 hours, with headsets provided so you can hear your guide clearly.

Accessibility

Wheelchair access: This experience is wheelchair accessible for guests using mobility devices.

Strollers: You may bring prams and strollers into the venue for this experience.

What’s not allowed

Unaccompanied minors: Children cannot join this experience unless they are accompanied by an adult.

Additional information

Ticket pickup: You may pick up your ticket only on the day of your visit when the checkout counter opens, starting 1 hour before the show until it begins.

Free entry for disabled guests: Entry is free for persons with a disability and their accompanying guardian, as long as they carry a valid photo ID.

Bag policy: You cannot take any bags into the Borghese Gallery, and you must leave them in the cloakroom before entering.

Gallery access: Certain rooms in the gallery may be closed during your visit because of refurbishment work.

Two hours inside only: All guests get a maximum of two hours to finish the gallery tour, with or without a guide.
