What to bring

• Ticket code: Enter your ticket code on the Roamer redemption page from your confirmation before you set off.
• Smartphone and earphones: Bring your own phone and earphones, fully charged, to play the audio tour.
• Mobile data or download: Have mobile data or download the tour in advance so the audio works smoothly.
• Cash: Carry Peruvian soles in cash if you plan to enter Qorikancha, La Compañía, or the Cathedral.
• Clothing: Bring a light rain layer if you walk between November and March when showers are common.
• Hydration: Carry water and sip regularly, as Cusco's altitude makes exertion feel stronger.

• Tour start: Start the walk whenever you like, as there is no group and no fixed arrival time.
• Redemption tip: Activate your tour while you still have phone signal, before leaving your accommodation.
• Best time of day: Aim for mid to late afternoon so the sun lights the Cathedral and La Compañía facades.
• Church hours: Most churches and Qorikancha close between 5 and 6 pm, with shorter Sunday hours at Qorikancha.
• Seasonal weather: Expect clear dry skies from May to September and frequent afternoon showers from November to March.
• Altitude note: Cusco is at about 3,400 metres, so walk slowly, drink water, and rest whenever you need to.
• Entry fees: Entry to main sites is paid on-site, and Kusicancha is free, but its opening hours can vary.
• Kusicancha access: Continue the stop from the street if Kusicancha's door is closed when you arrive.
• Museo Machu Picchu: Museo Machu Picchu in Casa Concha near stop four usually opens Monday to Saturday, 9:00 to 17:00.
• Extra detours: If you have time, you can detour to Plaza Regocijo, La Merced, and San Pedro Market from the route.
• Street surfaces: Watch your footing on cobbles and on the steps at the south end of Calle Loreto.
• Traffic caution: Take care on narrow pavements along busy one-way Calle Maruri near Calle Arequipa and Romeritos.
• Security: Keep phones and bags close in the plaza and on crowded pavements.
• Heritage respect: Do not touch the Twelve-Angle Stone, as it is protected and monitored by security cameras.
