Marco was an amazing guide for our visit to the Vatican museum/sistine chapel! He was so knowledgeable about the material, and answered all the questions I had about the museum and art pieces! He even stopped at specific art pieces that stood out to tell us more and give a personalized touch to the tour! We had an amazing experience and would definitely recommend Marco to anyone interested in touring the Vatican!

We had a fantastic experience touring the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel with Amadeo. He was extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and passionate about art, history, and the Vatican’s rich cultural heritage. His explanations were engaging and insightful, helping us appreciate the meaning and beauty behind the masterpieces we saw. Amadeo made the entire tour both educational and memorable. We highly recommend him to anyone visiting the Vatican!

Tour guide was very knowledgeable and great about keeping the tour moving through the exhibits and making sure we caught the pieces that were truly significant. She was great at explaining the exhibits and their meanings. There were a few thousand people flowing through the museum, but I never felt lost in the madness. It would have been great to stay and explore more after the tour was over but our time, my son 's and mine, was already tight.

Take a guided tour of the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel and gaze at Michelangelo's vibrant murals of biblical heavens.

Let your guide take you through the Catacomb's eerie tunnels with skulls and bones of the buried, peeking through the walls, created by Roman Christians 2000 years ago.

Step into Hadrian's Mausoleum and be greeted by the cylindrical building topped by a golden quadriga that later turned into a prison.

Wander through the Castel Gandolfo where colorful houses hug the shores of the serene Lake Albano and the papal palace stands as a historic centerpiece.

Fun fact: Some catacombs were used as secret meeting places during times of religious persecution, to hide from the Roman authorities!

The booking process was very easy and we found our tour guide fairly easy. The tour guide was very knowledgable and we got to see most of the museums and ended at Sistine Chapel. Definitely recommend booking a tour as the queues to just turn up are very long and you could be waiting up to 3 hours to get inside.

Our tour guide, Barbara was the best. Vatican museum is amazing as it is, but Barbara made the difference between just seeing the paintings and experiencing the arts. She is very knowledgeable about Vatican and the Arts. She explain everything in detail. What an amazing tour guide. Thank you

The palace of pope was wonderful and the little piazza for lunch had an amazing view of the lake. We ran out of time for the garden but hoping to check it out next time!

Get more for less with the super-saver combo of the Vatican Museums, Catacombs, Castel Sant'Angelo, and the Apolistic Palace at Castel Gandolfo with this ticket.

Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel

Start your journey of the Vatican Jubilee with a guided tour of the Vatican Museum. Be greeted by the marbled floors of the Museum's most important collections that house Roman and Greek sculptures like the Apollo of the Belvedere. Head on to Michelangelo's painted ceiling of the Sistine Chapel with frescoes adorned by biblical figures. Feel the grandeur of the halls as the enrobed God-like figures look down from the ceilings.

Roman Catacombs

Move on to the eerie 2000-year-old maze of catacombs built 2000 years ago. These underground burials were created to bury the dead in ancient Rome with the lack of burials on the ground. Let your guide narrate the history of the biblical scriptures on the carved catacomb walls, with skulls and bones peeking through them.

Castel Sant'Angelo

Explore the encased Hadrian's Tomb, once a tomb, and a prison -- now a museum. The imposing structure is divided across five floors connected by a spiral ramp, that leads you to the hallowed chamber of ashes, and the grey prison cells in that held incarcerated historical figures. Move towards the upper part of the castle to see gold and bronze decorated rooms once the Papal residence, and take in the gleaming collection of ancient Roman weapons.

Apostolic Palace of Castel Gandolfo & Pontifical Villas Gardens

Explore the Pope's summer residence on the edge of Lake Albano -- the Apostolic Palace. This scenic spot overlooks the shimmering lake, with floral and green gardens built on the site of the ancient villas. Wander the palace and admire the Baroque-style ochre-colored houses coupled with those topped with pointed arches reminiscent of Medieval style. Head on to the Papal Villas of Apolistic Palace and admire the halls decked with tapestries depicting scenes from the Bible, as the portraits of past popes adorn the walls, their faces gazing down with a sense of wisdom and authority.
