Entry was pretty smooth and easy, no problem with the tickets which was great. the palace was beautiful and we were fortuna to see the band get in and do some great band songs. palace is huge and we only got to know a part of it! definitely should go.

To help other travelers make the most of their visit, here are a few quick tips: Best Time to Go: Aim to arrive around 4:30 PM. This gives you plenty of daylight to explore the stunning interiors, the Library, and the House of Knowledge, while also allowing you to catch the golden hour for outdoor photos. Stay for the Show: By arriving in the late afternoon, you are perfectly timed to stay for the "Palace in Motion" light and sound show, which takes place on the main palace facade just after sundown. It is spectacular and included in your ticket! Dress Code: Because this is a working presidential palace and a cultural landmark, make sure to dress modestly (shoulders and knees must be covered) to ensure smooth entry. Bring Sunglasses: The pristine white stone of the palace exterior is blindingly bright in the mid-day sun, so sunglasses are a must if you arrive earlier in the day. An architectural marvel

Nestled in Abu Dhabi, Qasr Al Watan is a presidential palace that was recently opened to the public. One of the finest examples of Arabic architecture and craftsmanship, the palace's design signifies its heritage and its future vision. The palace has its own library with books on a wide range of subjects including archaeology, history, heritage, memoirs, biographies, human and social sciences, statistics, administration, culture, literature, arts, etc. It also has its own gift shops; one at the Visitors Center and the other at the palace building. One of the major attractions of the palace is its light and sound show, which depicts the history and growth of the UAE as a nation. This show has been divided into three acts: past, present, and future. Also get a chance to hold a falcon, take some pictures with them, and learn more about their nature and behavior at a falcon experience in front of the palace's main door.

What to bring

It's recommended to wear respectful clothing when in the palace. Knees and shoulders should be covered.

What's not allowed

Consumption of food and drink is not permitted in the great hall or exhibition rooms.

Due to venue restrictions, pets cannot tag along for this experience.

Prohibited items include penknives or knives of any kind, scissors, long umbrellas, paints/aerosols, bicycles, folding bikes, roller-skates or skateboards, large bags that can’t fit through airport-style security scanners, and CS gas (tear gas) or any weapon.

Re-entry is not permitted.

Wheelchairs are available for rent free of charge and strollers can be rented for AED 20.

The Palace in Motion show starts at 7:45pm, with the last entry at 7:15pm.

The falcon experience will be held in front of the palace's main gate from 22 Jan to Mar 1, 2025.

Please note that the falcon experience will be held on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at 10am, 11:15am, 2pm, 3:15pm, and 4:30pm. However, during the first week, sessions will take place only on Wednesday and Friday before transitioning to the regular schedule.
