Originally limited to the royal court, today Khon is seen all over the country as a symbol of Thai culture and pride. The show features masked dancers bringing the story and characters of Ramakien (Thai version of Ramayana) to life.

What to bring

Get a hat, cap, or umbrella and sunglasses to protect yourself from the Bangkok heat.

Wear comfortable, closed shoes to navigate the large Palace grounds.

Carry a water or juice bottle to keep yourself hydrated during the day.

What's not allowed

Keep in mind that drones and sharp metallic tools or objects are not allowed in this experience. Pack wisely!

Shutterbugs, take note: Flash photography is a no-go inside the venue.

Strict dress code: Sleeveless shirts, vests, short and see-through tops, short pants, torn pants, tight pants, bike pants, mini skirts, sleeping suits, quarter-length pants, culottes, and fisherman trousers are prohibited.

Strapless shoes and flip-flops are not allowed inside the venue.

This experience is wheelchair and pram/stroller accessible.

Additional Information

Bring a sarong to cover your legs in case you get stopped at the entrance.

Bring your children's passports as ID proof.
