The weather was far from ideal — rainy, windy, and honestly too cold for a tour like this — and yet we absolutely loved it. Our tour guide was outstanding. From start to finish, she shared fascinating insights in such an engaging and knowledgeable way. Listening to her was a real pleasure, and her passion for the city was obvious throughout. Architecturally, this is one of the most impressive cities we have seen so far, and she brought its history and character beautifully to life. The food was definitely overpriced, but that is somewhat expected at events like this. What truly stood out, however, was how exceptionally friendly and welcoming the staff were. Overall, this tour is an absolute must-do and worth every penny — even when the weather is not what you had hoped for.

Die Tour auf dem Chicago River und dem Lake Michigan war absolut fantastisch und das Highlight meiner Reise! Der Kontrast zwischen den engen Schluchten der Wolkenkratzer im Financial District und der unendlichen Weite des Sees ist beeindruckend. Besonders faszinierend war die Fahrt durch die Schleuse – ein technisches Erlebnis, das man nicht alle Tage hat. Vom See aus bietet sich zudem das perfekte Postkarten-Panorama auf die gesamte Skyline und den Navy Pier. Die Guides erzählen mit viel Witz und Fachwissen Details zur Architektur und Geschichte, die man in keinem Reiseführer findet. Fazit: Ein absolutes Muss für jeden Chicago-Besucher! Die 90 Minuten vergehen wie im Flug, und man bekommt eine völlig neue Perspektive auf die „Windy City“.

I was looking for just what I got. A pleasant ride out onto the lake with the sunset view of Chicago, a welcoming MC and nice people to talk with. The only thing I might say is that the boarding location was very confusing because they have two docks that are not easy to move between, but the cruise itself was lovely. Enjoyed going through the locks too.

Today we went on a 90-minute cruise, and it was absolutely amazing! The views were beautiful, the atmosphere was relaxing, and we enjoyed every minute of it. Everything was organized perfectly, and the experience felt so special. Definitely one of the best parts of our day — highly recommend!

The tour guide was fabulous, mixing facts, history, stories and humor in the right mix. We got incredible views for sure. And it's great how you get the river and lake experiences which are very different. Highly recommended .
