The tour was generally good. The chosen destinations were very impressive. However, we encountered a problem regarding lunch options because no one had contacted me beforehand. Our tour guide told me that I was required to make a meal choice in response to messages I had received, and that there was nothing they could do about it. However, when I explained that I hadn’t received any messages, they were able to resolve the issue. I would not have wanted to experience such a problem due to a situation not of my own making. I only received a message from Headout at the end of the tour, not beforehand. Furthermore, although the tour duration was stated as 11 hours, it actually lasted 12 hours in total. This caused us to be a bit pressed for time, as I had a journey to make afterwards. Updating the information regarding the duration would help prevent such incidents.

Went with my partner and honestly, we were both blown away. The fjords are just something else – like, the kind of scenery that makes you go quiet because you can’t really describe it. Our guide (can’t remember her name, sorry!) was super chill and told us these funny little stories about the area. It rained for half the trip (lol, it’s Norway, right?) but the waterfalls were even BETTER in the rain. Only thing, wish we’d brought more snacks – the lunch stop was decent but not suuuper filling. Still, would do it again in a heartbeat. Pack a rain jacket!

Did this with my mom as a birthday treat and wow, what a day. The fjords were like something out of a dream, especially in the morning mist. Our guide Maria made everyone feel welcome, sharing her favorite local legends. The boat was comfy and not too crowded (maybe lucky?), and we got loads of pics. Only issue was the bathroom line at the lunch stop—plan ahead! Still, totally worth it and would recommend.

The fjord cruise was STUNNING. Went with a couple friends and we were glued to the windows for the whole boat ride. Pro tip: grab a window spot early. The guide was super knowledgeable about random little villages we passed. Got a bit chilly, so bring layers! Wish we could’ve stayed longer at the viewpoint, but timing’s tight. Still, unforgettable day.

What to bring

Carry a government-issued photo ID that matches the name on your booking; it may be required at check-in.

Wear sturdy, comfortable footwear for walking on uneven ground and outdoor exploration.

Dress in layers and pack a waterproof jacket, as fjord weather can be unpredictable.

Don’t forget your camera to capture the stunning landscapes.

A reusable water bottle is recommended for convenience and sustainability.

What’s not allowed

Oversized bags, large suitcases, or bulky luggage cannot be taken on the coach or cruise.

Pets are not permitted, except for certified service animals.

Smoking is prohibited on both the bus and the boat.

Alcohol and illegal substances are strictly forbidden during the trip.

Accessibility

Unfortunately, the tour is not suitable for wheelchairs.

Walking on uneven paths and boarding/disembarking from vehicles and boats is required.

Additional information

Check-in is at 7:45am at Strandkaien 17 (near the express boat terminal) in Bergen; departure is promptly at 8am.

The tour runs in all weather; if fog prevents a Stegastein visit, an alternative viewpoint in Aurland will be offered.

On busy days at Stegastein, the stop at Flåm Church may be shortened or skipped.

A rest and coffee break is scheduled in Dale.

Open to all ages, with specific ticket categories for toddlers (1–3), children (4–16), and adults.

Please arrive early, as late arrivals cannot be accommodated.

Lunch and refreshments are included in the package.
