We've reserved our tour basically last-minute. Our guide, Kristian, was there exactly at the booked time. It was the 3 of us walking along the paths, he was patient, knowledgeable, extremely friendly and more than happy to answer any of our questions, he's also good at taking pictures! He has shared quite a bit of insight into the history of the park that we wouldn't have otherwise known. All-in-all, we had a great time, and are more than glad that we've booked and got him as our guide. I recommend everyone to come and visit off-season as there are less tourists, everything's cheaper, and you might get a one-on-one guide as we did, which is really nice.

Eramos un grupo de 2 Matrimonos Colombianos. Como buenos Paisas (de Medellín) hicimos amigos facilmente y durante el largo recorrido, nos conocimos mucho y afianzamos la amistad con un matromonio español, que viven en Santander, Norte de España. El Recorrido con nuestra espectacular Guía Samantha, pudimos conocer la historia de tan grandosos lagos. Quedamos maravillados con toda esa belleza.... Comprometidos a VOLVER !!!!

How ever much you read on the Internet, a guide is a must if you want to enjoy the park. There's so many points he could point out and that's what made the day for us. From finding the only Elephant in the park to the formation of the fall to the changing pattern of the falls. And the timing of the pace of our walk to getting back on time for our return bus was done in a meticulous manner.

What’s not allowed

Large bags, suitcases, and oversized luggage, pets, except for registered service animals, alcohol, drugs, and any form of intoxication are not allowed in the Park.

Swimming in the lakes is prohibited.
