Fantastic experience. I had overnight at airport hotel and chose Nging Ping as way to spend the day. Wonderful views of the mountains, the town, the sea and the airport and so many shades of green in the forests underneath. The wee village quaintly touristy but not rip off prices and I had nice lunch. Walked the many steps to the Big Buddha and strolled the quietness towards the forest trails. Amazing resource for hikers which I am not!!! Mountain mist did not spoil return journey. Cable car entry and exit well organised and efficient.

We had a wonderful experience on the Ngong Ping Cable Car with our family! From the moment we started the journey, the breathtaking views were absolutely amazing. Seeing the mountains, lush green landscapes, and beautiful surroundings from high above was truly unforgettable. The cable car ride itself was smooth, relaxing, and enjoyable for everyone. The kids were especially excited to look out at the scenery and watch the views change as we travelled towards Ngong Ping. It was a great opportunity to spend quality time together while enjoying the natural beauty of Hong Kong. The panoramic views from the cable car were definitely the highlight of our trip. Everything felt peaceful, scenic, and exciting at the same time. We also loved taking family photos along the way and capturing the beautiful memories. Overall, it was a fantastic family experience and definitely worth doing when visiting Hong Kong. Highly recommended!

Cable car was excellent Getting the tickets an absolute nightmare Headout did not supply the QR code so we had to move queues , it took over an hour on Chat for this to be resolved , had to send a pdf with tickets on. Was told should only use the Cablecar company to book tickets - had to prove purchase on my credit card account before they would issue us with tickets that would scan on their system

Our experience with Headout was exceptional from start to finish. The booking process was incredibly smooth, and we received our digital tickets instantly. What really made the visit special was how we were able to skip the long queues at the entrance, saving us so much time to enjoy the landmark. Not to be missed. Spectacular views and an interesting walk around the monastery. Enjoyed the vegetarian lunch too. Booked in advance. Very well organised.

Everything was so great. The cable car, the vistas, the village, the ice cream, the people, the shops and of course the Buddha. Loved all of our visit and will most certainly visit again. Thank you!

Travel 5.7 kilometers along a bi-cable ropeway between Tung Chung town center and the peaceful Ngong Ping village.

Choose between a one-way or round-trip journey, with cabin options including Standard, Crystal (glass-bottom), or Crystal+ (which is ultra transparent) for an upgraded view.

Most round-trip combos include a standard cabin for the return leg. You can also buy a standard cabin round-trip ticket and get another for free.

Fun Fact: Ngong Ping is home to the world’s second-largest outdoor bronze statue of Lord Buddha – an awe-inspiring sight not to be missed!

What's not allowed

Guests are prohibited from eating or drinking (except water) inside the cabin.

Smoking is restricted at the venue and inside the cabins.

Due to venue restrictions, pets cannot tag along on this experience.

This experience is accessible by wheelchair and pram/strollers.

Guests with disability can approach the Guest Services Operator for assistance after arriving at the terminal.

It is recommended that wheelchair users be accompanied by a guardian.
