We purchased the Combo (Save 3%): Underwater World + Langkawi Cable Car Tickets through Headout for our family group of 16 adults and 2 children. The booking process was straightforward, although there is a maximum 10 tickets per purchase. After purchasing, we still needed to exchange the voucher at the ticket counter for entry tickets/QR wristbands. Underwater World Langkawi was relatively uncrowded with no waiting time. There was a good variety of attractions including penguins, nurse sharks, arapaima, and many other aquatic species. The facility was wheelchair-accessible, making it convenient for family members with mobility needs. The Langkawi Cable Car experience was much busier. We had to wait approximately 3 hours before boarding due to the large crowds. However, the breathtaking views from the top made it worthwhile. We spent about 15 minutes at each stop, enjoying the scenery and taking photos. The cable car facilities and viewing areas were generally wheelchair-accessible, which was a big plus for our family. Overall, despite the long wait for the cable car, it was a memorable family experience and the combo ticket offered good value for money. Suitable for families of all ages, including elderly visitors and wheelchair users.

The Langkawi Underwater World, sprawled across nearly 6 acres is home to over 4,000 different aquatic species, the aquarium is a must-visit for nature lovers and those who are curious about marine life. The building is divided into three ecosystems: Tropical Rainforest, Temperate, and Sub-Antarctic. See gigantic sea creatures like stingrays, and green turtles as you walk through the 15-meter-long tunnel containing 500,000 liters of seawater! Make your way to the "Penguinarium," which consists of a small tunnel where you can watch adorable penguins play and swim. You can also visit during feeding time and learn more about these animals as they show off to their trainers.

Soar high above the island

What better way to experience the beauty of Langkawi than by hovering above it at 708 meters above sea level? This is Malaysia's highest cable car ride that lets you soar through the eastern cliffs of Mt. Machinchang and its towering summit. Embark upon a scenic ride from the base to the middle station, covering more than 1,700 meters in distance. Once at the station, a short walk to the top rewards you with spectacular views of the Langkawi archipelago and Southern Thailand!
