The floating floors that lifted you up into the sky, the boat in the sky was very exciting. I would like to see more information for careers who accompany people in wheelchairs. The phone numbers were diverted to America. When asked about companion cards and who would take control of my wheelchair, there was no direct answer and the person on the phone did not know about the companion card.

The staff were welcoming, provided excellent guidance and were helpful when ensuring the view from the headset was sharp. The visuals are outstanding, although we knew in reality we were in a room with a flat floor, we enjoyed the varied "means of travel" and the storyline along with Mona the guide was just so interesting and entertaining. Loved every minute of our tour!

It was a ver good exhibition. I recommended to anyone. Adults and children. I already spent time at work the following day telling everyone and my own children that this is a must go. My wife have some mobility problems, so going to Egypt to see all of this is out of the question. To do the VR tour on a wheelchair, was very exiciting for her. I learnt a lot.

The experience was fantastic, way better than I anticipated! This VR world feels like reality, it gives emotions of happiness, awe, etc. It is also educational. I'd love to experience more shows like this with less participants to not loose time waiting for others to move from my path. I do recommend it!!

I wasn't sure what to expect, but this 45 min tour was immersive and active. Learning about ancient Egyptian culture and religion was made fun and presents a fascinating way to educate people. Highly recommend and I'll be coming back to do the next VR tour!

Awesome experience with my family. Well worth it!! Easy to get to and not too crowded. Lots of laughs and wow moments. Would recommend everyone has to have a go.

The tour itself was great, the overall experience wasn't amazing. It felt like there were too many people in a space at a single time, not all people were visible, noise and constant "shhhh-ing" were distracting. We felt that the "whisper" message (and how it affects the experience) needs to be reiterated more at the initial check in. It also appeared to be disconnected "tours" running into each other and navigation was an issue at times, headsets may have also been glitchy.

Arrive at Horizon of Khufu in Brisbane and receive your VR headset and safety briefing. Small-group sessions ensure a fully guided and interactive experience.

What to expect

Explore the pyramids: Step inside the Great Pyramid of Giza, navigate hidden corridors, and visit the Queen’s Chamber in a fully immersive virtual environment.

Guided insights: Learn from expert commentary about life in Egypt’s 4th Dynasty, ancient customs, and the secrets of the pyramids.

Interactive cultural experience: Meet the goddess Bastet, uncover hidden chambers, and experience the sights, sounds, and stories of ancient Egyptian civilization like never before.

What’s not allowed

Tripods and backpacks are not allowed in this experience.

It is recommended to not wear hats or caps as this experience requires the usage of VR headsets.

This experience is restricted for guests under the age of 10 years and under the height of 1.30m.

This experience is wheelchair accessible.

This experience is not the best fit for pregnant women and guests with claustrophobia, motion sickness, hearing issues, or vertigo.

YGuests with cardiac issues or epilepsy are restricted from participating in this experience.

Service dogs are permitted only for a seated experience to avoid collision with other users.

Additional Information

Facilities: Lockers, parking, toilets.

Children aged 10 & 11 must be accompanied in the experience to take part, and children from ages 12 - 18 must be accompanied to the venue by a parent or guardian to sign the public liability, but can enter the experience without an adult.

Guests with prescription glasses are recommended to wear normal reading glasses, as other types such as varifocals may lower the overall viewing experience.
