Getting started
Your adventure begins at Berth B1, Great Sandy Straits Marina in Hervey Bay. After a quick safety briefing, board Wipeout, a high-speed vessel that can accommodate up to 20 guests. With open-air 360° views, this vessel gets you closer, faster to your destination.
What to expect

Up-close encounters: Cruise into Platypus Bay, where you can see humpback whales during migration. With a low waterline and open design, you’re just metres away from the action, watch for breaches, tail-slaps, and curious approaches. Weather permitting, you may even have the rare chance to swim alongside them.

Beach activities and swimming: After time on the water, the boat pulls up to a hidden stretch of Fraser Island’s pristine western coastline. Here, you’ll step off onto a sandy beach or shallow sandbank for around 30 minutes of beach time, perfect for a swim, snorkeling, paddleboarding, or a friendly game of beach cricket. All gear is included.
