A very fun tour with Cassandra (I think that was her name!) Guide was very knowledgeable with lots of stories and entertaining mannerisms to give a bit more character. The whole group, I'm sure, felt included with occasional volunteers sought. My partner and I did feel that some of the stories were long-winded and more about them history of Edinburgh rather than a haunted ghost tour. We were, too, disappointed that so little of it was actually 'underground'. Despite that, a very fun experience.

Our guide was David RIzzio - foul-mouthed, irreverent, camp and a very fast walker. Amongst grisly ghost stories and macarbre murder tales, he also found time to heap abuse on Americans, the English, J.K. Rowling, people who walk slowly, people who don't know how to turn their phones into flashlights, other ghost tour operators, his colleagues, his ex, people in general... A hugely entertaining evening.

We loved having Frederick (twink) as our guide, he explained everything so well and we had some interesting conversations. I would highly recommend this tour and you may consider yourself lucky if you get frederick as your tour guide! We had such a blast and wanted to thank Frederick again for our amazing tour! The next part of the tour brings you to the eerie Greyfriars Kirkyard, a 450-year-old cemetery famous for its ghostly tales and petrifying poltergeists. Hear the chilling story of the loyal dog Greyfriar's Bobby, who guarded his master's grave for 14 years, and the infamous body snatchers Burke and Hare. The adventure continues underground to a former 17th-century close encapsulated within the South Bridge. Witness the original bridge arches, walls, and doorways of former houses, with the modern pavement visible through a skylight. The underground city is said to be haunted by the spirits of its former inhabitants - some who have refused to leave even after death.
