Absolutely fantastic insight to the darker side of Edinburgh's fascinating history. From 15th century attempted regicides to 18th and 19th century advances in medecine using somewhat unethical methods, this tour is a wonderfully enlightening experience. As for our guide, Soldier John, he brought the whole tour alive with his ghastly, ghostly, gruesome tales told with such enthusiasm and knowledge. Bravo!!

Mary Queen of Scott was amazing. The tour was really interesting. We had come in with very limited knowledge of what's going to happen. However our tour guide was so much fun and kept everyone engaged in her stories till the end :)

The tour was great. Lots of creepy scary tales and our guide was awesome. My only criticism is that it felt a little rushed. Other than that we had a great time.

Hear the chilling story of the loyal dog Greyfriar's Bobby, who guarded his master's grave for 14 years, and the infamous body snatchers Burke and Hare. The adventure continues underground to a former 17th-century close encapsulated within the South Bridge. Witness the original bridge arches, walls, and doorways of former houses, with the modern pavement visible through a skylight. The underground city is said to be haunted by the spirits of its former inhabitants - some who have refused to leave even after death.
