Sir, we booked a tour with a small bus last week and we enjoyed it IMMENSELY!!! This mainly due to the extreme care Mr Ricardo Rite(?) took with us!! In my life, I have seen much of the world, (England, New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, Thailand, Hongkong, Taiwan, Japan, Hawaii, USA, Germany, Austria, Romania, Ceska, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Spain, France, Italy, Kenia, Madagascar, Brazil, Mexico, Tanger,Gibraltar and more)! But I 've NEVER met a guide like Ricardo! He was extremly friendly and his personal way of comunication to each of us was just fantastic. Whatever we wished, it was most professionally arranged by him. Please forward our deepest thanks to Mr Ricardo. The tour was the highlight of our holiday, thanks to him, you can be proud to have a guide like him!

We took two private and they were both terrific. The half day city tour and the historical Douro Valley tours were well-paced and informative. We saw the major sites in Porto and the surrounding area. We are not big drinkers so the historical tour was perfect for us for seeing the views, having a great home cooked lunch, and a winery visit Luis was our guide for both tours and took great care of us. He let us set the pace as my parents are elderly. When we missed out on the valley viewpoint due to fog, he made an extra stop in the afternoon and made sure we got to see the beautiful river view. This, I highly recommend this company and especially Luis.

Our family of 5 booked the Historical Douro Valley tour. Phenomenal experience. One we will remember always. Our tour guide was warm, welcoming and full of fascinating stories and historical knowledge. The scenery was beautiful and the river cruise, though a short duration, was one of our favourite aspects of the tour. Our lunch stop in the old railway station, which has been attractively restored, was a very pleasant break in a full day. The food and service was excellent. We highly recommend this tour. Myself, along with five friends had a private tour of the door Valley. Our guide and driver Nuno spoke excellent English, had a good sense of humour and was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the various places we visited, the vineyards and Portuguese, wine and port in general. The Mercedes minibus was clean and cool and the audio system meant we could hear Nuno easily. The place we stopped for lunch, had amazing, panoramic views, was modern clean and served superb local food and wines. The boat trip at Pinhão was just long enough, and we had an enthusiastic and bubbly guide on the boat. We then visited a local & traditional wine and port, maker, and again, the enthusiasm and knowledge of the winery guide was excellent and inspiring. A thoroughly good day and have no hesitation in recommending if you are travelling as a small group.

Our tour guide for the full day Duoro Valley Tour was Paula and she was absolutely fantastic! We learned so much and had a lot of fun on this tour! It can be a long day but she kept us entertained and engaged the whole time. We actually went on a second tour with Living Tours the next day - 1/2 Day Porto Tour with John. He was amazing too! Living Tours is an excellent company if you want to go on tours, learn a lot and have fun. They care about you and your experience.
