From Athens: Temple of Poseidon & Lake Vouliagmeni Swimming Small-Group Day Trip

La prise en charge anotre lieux de résidence, le fait d'être véhiculés en petit groupe, les lieux proposés sont fantastiques, l'accueil du chauffeur. Toutefois, nous regrettons les points suivants : Décalage de l'heure de prise en charge de 45 minutes (15h45 au lieu de 15h), ce qui ne nous a pas permis de visiter le temple de Poséidon, puisqu'on est arrivés 15 minutes avant la fermeture et de profiter du coucher de soleil, alors que nous avions payés pour cette prestation (hors billets d!entrée). On entendait pas les explications du chauffeur étant asis au fond du van, le chauffeur ne semblait s'adresser qu'aux personnes proches de lui. Nous n'avons jamais pu profiter des instructions de visite de votre chauffeur. Du coup le chauffeur a roulé très vite le long de la côte sans nous permettre d'apprécier la riviera et sans aucun commentaire de la part du chauffeur.

Swimming in the lake was fantastic, and we got to the temple just before sunset. Nikos was a brilliant guide and was nore than happy to stay a bit longer so we got some great shots of the sun setting. 10/10 would go again!

Relaxed, flexible, personalized. Cristiano was very well j formed, funny and flexible. We had a great time ar the lake and the sunset at Cape Sounio was spectacular.stopped for icecream on the way back.

Vouliagmeni area is beautiful. However, the lake itself is quite dirty, so we preferred crossing the road and going to the tavern and the beach there. Poseidon temple during sunset is a magical place. Before reaching it, Chris, our drivee and guide, stopped to tell us the story behind and it was very intriguing. All in all, great communication with support, with Chris, who took great care of us during our excursion. Thank you!

We had a fantastic experience on our tour to Lake Vouliagmeni and Temple of Poseidon. Everything was very well organized and definitely worth the money. big thank you to our driver Kwstas, who was friendly, professional, and made our trip comfortable and enjoyable. Highly recommended!

What to bring

Carry your own towel for Lake Vouliagmeni. Towels are available for rent on-site if needed.

Keep a valid photo ID handy in case it’s required to verify your booking at entry.

Set aside extra budget for meals, as well as entrance fees to Lake Vouliagmeni and the Temple of Poseidon (not included in the tour price).

Pack swimwear and a change of clothes if you plan to take a dip in the lake.

Sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses are recommended, especially during warmer months.

Comfortable walking shoes are advised, as exploring the Temple of Poseidon involves some walking.

What’s not allowed

This experience is not recommended for pregnant travelers.

Pets are not allowed, with the exception of certified service animals.

Alcohol, drugs, or participation under the influence are strictly prohibited.

Large backpacks, suitcases, and bulky luggage are restricted at the archaeological sites for security reasons.

Additional information

Hotel pickups take place from the lobby. For Airbnb stays, pickup is at the building entrance after coordinating with the driver. Airport and port pickups are arranged at arrivals, where your driver will be waiting with a sign.

Your driver is experienced and knowledgeable but not licensed to guide inside archaeological sites.

The itinerary may be adjusted due to traffic conditions or operational requirements.

Lake Vouliagmeni offers shower and changing facilities for guests.

Children must be supervised by an adult throughout the experience.
