Wow and wow!! What a wonderful experience at the GEM. Ticketing and access was so easy. The magnitude of the museum and the amazing Ramses 2 statue in the the Grand Hall was a great entry into the collection. The quality of the artefacts, interpretation and staff assistance was excellent. Go early to beat the crowds and if possible, have this expedience at the end of your Egyptian travels, it'll make it even more memorable.

Loved touring around in the grand Egyptian museum, you must go early to have all the time you need to cover all the galleries! Best part was especially king tut ankh amun gallery was amazing and everything was so good I and ended the day with the perfect nile cruise, had so much fun and enjoyed every single moment of the day!♥️

Additional information

To participate in the Discovery Challenge, participants must have a smartphone to play. Children under 12 years need to be accompanied by a guest above 16 years.

The Discovery Challenge takes place daily at 12pm, 2pm, and 4pm, with an additional slot on Saturdays and Wednesdays at 6pm. The starting point is at the information desk in the Grand Hall.

Regular hours (except Saturday and Wednesday): The GEM Complex is open from 8:30am to 7pm, Galleries from 9am to 6pm, with last entry at 5pm.

Saturday and Wednesday: The GEM Complex operates from 8:30am to 10pm, Galleries from 9am to 9pm, with last entry at 8pm.
