I received news that the other tour I booked was canceled and was able to book this same day in the morning. The process was seamless and once I arrived at the Christ and the Sugarloaf, I was able to skip the long ticket line and go straight to boarding. You don't necessarily need to arrive at the exact time, but it helps to arrive about an hr or so before your planned time. Loved it and very reasonable price!

Weg met de trein naar boven. Het prachtige beeld , niet verwacht dat het zo imposant zou zijn. Gezien we de Suikerbroodberg dag voordien hadden gedaan was de verwondering van de omgeving boven minder spectaculair.

La experiencia es completa. Desde el paso directo al embarque al haber comprado tickets con anticipación. La limpieza y los espacios del tren. Y la majestuosidad del Cristo Redentor, aún en un día sin sol. Gran experiencia, obligatoria si vas por Río.

What to bring

Carry your printed voucher to exchange for a boarding pass at the Corcovado Train box office on the day of the visit. Ensure your ID is on hand for a smooth experience.

We recommend wearing comfortable shoes, light clothing on hot days, and carrying sunscreen and sunglasses.

Accessibility

The train and viewing platforms are wheelchair accessible.

The experience involves climbing about 222 steps. But, for your convenience, ramps and elevators are available at the statue.

Additional information

Boarding point: Rua Cosme Velho, 513 – Cosme Velho.

Getting there: The Corcovado Train departs from Cosme Velho Station, located about 30 minutes by car from central Rio areas such as Copacabana, Ipanema, and Flamengo.

Avoid driving your own car since there is no parking nearby. Use a taxi, Uber, or public bus to reach the station.

The selected time slot is an estimate for the train going up to the Statue. Your exact departure time will be confirmed on your boarding pass and may vary by up to two hours from the selected time. Please arrive at the station at least 30 minutes before the departure time stated on your boarding pass.

Note: Trains depart approximately every 30 minutes. Priority boarding applies only to the uphill train; return transfers are on a first-come, first-served basis. So, plan your return accordingly.

Please arrive at the redemption point 30 mins before the scheduled time of your visit to avoid any delays.

Display the voucher on your mobile phone with a valid photo ID at the redemption point.
