The canyon is amazing. The guide, who grew up in the area, was extremely knowledgeable and helped to make everyone's experience as good as it could be. He even played a flute in the canyon so we could heargg ch the acoustics.

Mariah took such good care of us. We loved hearing about her culture and she was an incredibly good driver on some roads that could have been treacherous. The canyon was fascinating and the overlook was perfect.

Despite less than ideal weather (cold and wet) we loved this tour. So great to get away from the crowds, especially at Horseshoe Bend, which was amazing. Highly recommended!

What to bring

Local cash to offer your Navajo guide ($3–$5 per person is suggested) as gratuities at the end of your tour.

Refillable water bottle to keep hydrated during the tour.

Hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses for protection against the desert sun.

Sturdy, closed shoes and clothing suitable for walking.

A small backpack for personal items; large bags are not permitted.

What’s not allowed

Drones, tripods, monopods, selfie sticks, hiking sticks, canes, walkers, or wheelchairs.

Flash photography, alcohol, food, and outside beverages (except water).

Weapons, glass objects, drugs, or sharp items of any kind.

Pets or animals of any size are not allowed.

Accessibility

This tour is not recommended for pregnant guests or those with recent or chronic back/neck issues.

Participants must be able to walk unassisted on uneven surfaces with some elevation changes.

Minimum age requirement: children must be 6 years or older.

Wheelchairs, strollers, and prams cannot be accommodated on this experience.

Guests who cannot handle the walking requirements should not join.
