Your Experience
Your Experience
This day tour from Tokyo takes you to Mount Fuji, Japan's tallest peak and one of the most iconic tourist destinations, and the surrounding scenic regions.
Admire Lake Kawaguchi and Oishi Park
Your first stop is at Lake Kawaguchi. The view of the beautiful Mt. Fuji and its reflection in the still waters of the lake is best from there. Nearby Oishi Park is lovely all year round, with cherry blossoms in spring, lavender in summer, maple leaves in fall, and snow in winter.
Explore the Wind and Ice Caves
Visit Narusawa Ice Cave and Fugaku Wind Cave, which are hidden in Aokigahara Forest. These caves were formed by an ancient eruption of Mt. Fuji and have amazing ice formations, lava shelves, and more. Feel the temperature drop as you enter the chilly caves and walk through the narrow passages. Explore Oshino Hakkai, a quaint village built on a former lake site. The 8 springs in the village are fed by snowmelt from Mt. Fuji. Sample the pristine spring water from the huge Waku Pond and stroll through the picturesque alleys and bridges.
The Blossoming Arakurayama Asama Park
Climb 397 steps to see the Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine and the 5-storied pagoda named Zhongling Tower. Enjoy the stunning view of Mt. Fuji and the pagoda, which is also a famous spot for cherry blossoms. About 650 Someiyoshino cherry trees are planted in the park, creating a superb contrast with Mt. Fuji in early April every year.
