Getting started
Your combo ticket grants you a tandem skydive over the Great Ocean Road with breathtaking coastal views and a full-day guided road trip along one of Australia’s most scenic roads. Arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled skydive and get ready to be picked up from your hotel in Melbourne CBD for your day tour.
What to expect
Tandem skydive
- The climb: Rise to 8,000 ft or 15,000 ft during a 20-minute scenic flight, with stunning views of Torquay, Bells Beach, and the coastline.
- The jump: Choose between the 8,000 ft jump for a 20-second freefall or the 15,000 ft jump for a 60-second freefall. Enjoy breathtaking views of Barwon Heads, Torquay, Bells Beach, and Geelong.
- The descent: At 5,000 ft, your instructor will open the parachute. Glide peacefully for 5-7 minutes, taking in the coastal views.
- The touchdown: Land within 100 meters of Torquay Beach, right at the start of the Great Ocean Road.

Iconic stops along the way: Start with a visit to Split Point Lighthouse, where you can take in views of the cliffs and ocean. Then head to the Great Ocean Road Memorial Arch, a tribute to the soldiers who built this legendary route, and snap some memorable photos with the soldier statues.

Wildlife & landmarks: Pass through the coastal town of Lorne and keep an eye out for wild koalas near Barham Reserve. In Apollo Bay, take a break to enjoy lunch by the sea (at your own expense) before continuing your journey.

Natural wonders: No trip along this road is complete without visiting the Twelve Apostles, the towering limestone stacks rising from the Southern Ocean. Finish the day at Loch Ard Gorge, where you’ll hear the story of the shipwreck and watch the waves crash against the cliffs before heading back to Melbourne.
What to bring

- Carry your ID for a seamless experience.
- Wear closed shoes like trainers or running shoes to protect your feet from bumps or brushes against the airplane or ground.
Day tour
- Bring water, headphones, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and a jacket for the tour.
What’s not allowed
Tandem skydive
- Use of electronic devices, including personal camera and video equipment is not permitted on the aircraft or at any time during the jump.
- Dentures and other loose items are not allowed on this experience. It is recommended to keep them with the staff or leave them in your accommodation.
- Guests are not allowed to consume alcohol or recreational drugs 8 hours before or scuba dive within 24 hours of the scheduled skydive jump time.
- This experience is restricted for guests aged 16 and over and under 115 kg. Those over 105 kg will need extra assessment for safety and harness fit by a drop zone officer or a tandem instructor.

- Pets are not allowed on this experience.
Accessibility

- This experience is not suitable for pregnant women and guests with epilepsy or cardiac issues.
- Guests with a dislocated shoulder can join the experience, but must inform staff so an alternate freefall position can be arranged.

- This experience is not wheelchair or pram/ stroller accessible.
- Guests with cardiac issues are restricted from participating in this experience.
Additional information
Tandem skydive
- Guests under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian on jump day to sign the paperwork.
- Guests must complete an online check-in form including pre-registration with the Australian Parachute Federation (APF) before arriving at the drop zone.
- While the weight limit is 115kg, extra charges will apply for guests over 94kg. Guests between 94 – 104kg = +AUD $55, 105 – 114kg = +AUD $80, and 115kg and over = +AUD $105.
- You can add skydiving photos and videos to your package at an extra cost.
- Guests with spectacles or contact lenses will be provided with big goggles.
- Skydiving is a weather-dependent activity. Arrive with no time constraints. If the weather is unfavorable, your jump will be rescheduled to a date that best suits you.
Day tour
- Inform the driver of your booking name as the driver would have a name list of all the lead passengers.
- The tour will stop at Apollo Bay for lunch (at your own expense).
