Day Trips from Provence

Did the tour with my partner. Loved the villages and the wine tasting (sooo good, I bought a bottle I prob didn't need, lol). Our guide was super knowledgeable but sometimes it felt like info overload. Also, you can’t take pics inside some of the churches, fyi. Wear comfy shoes, lots of cobblestones.

Our guide, Elise, was so fun and made sure everyone was comfy. My wife and I loved the wine tasting—learned a lot, and the pours were generous. The van was clean, group size was just right. Weather was a bit windy but didn’t spoil anything. Would recommend for couples.

Went solo and didn’t feel awkward at all, which was a relief. Met another solo traveler and we geeked out over the reds—sooo smooth. Our guide answered, like, every random question I threw at him about terroir and oak barrels. The lookout point over Cassis was the highlight for me. Only thing: wish they sold more snacks at the wineries, I got a bit peckish after all that sipping.

Fun day with friends! The drive out was a bit long, but the scenery is amazing—rolling vineyards and then the coast. Our guide was funny and even sang us a song (not kidding). The first winery was my fave, super rustic and the staff poured generous tastings. Cassis was PACKED but so pretty, and we managed to snag a spot for lunch at a tiny bistro. Wish there was a bit more time to look around the town. Still, really cool experience.

Il nostro tour di un'intera giornata nei campi di lavanda è stato meraviglioso. La nostra guida turistica Paolo è stata fantastica. Poiché partivamo da Marsiglia, avevamo un po' di tempo prima di raggiungere i campi di lavanda. Paolo è stato una ricchezza di conoscenze e informazioni sull'intera regione e sulla sua storia, oltre che molto preparato su tutto ciò che riguarda la lavanda. Quando siamo arrivati ai campi di lavanda ha aiutato tutti con le foto e ha risposto a tutte le nostre domande. È stato molto professionale e un ottimo autista. Non avremmo potuto scegliere un tour migliore!
