You’ll depart early morning from Hurghada and take a 4 hour drive across the desert in air-conditioned comfort. Then enter the awe-inspiring royal tombs in the Valley of the Kings. Cut directly into the mountains, these tombs were crammed with treasures and covered in magnificent paintings, each depicting the life of the king they housed.

Your guide will bring these wondrous tales to life again. There’s time to marvel at the magnificent Temple of Medinet Habu and take photos at the eerie Colossi of Memnon. Then enjoy a short motor boat trip across the river Nile in time for lunch which is served for you in a top class hotel or restaurant beside the river on either the East bank or West bank depending on timings.

After lunch, continue to the hugely impressive Temple of Karnak. An amazing feat of ancient Egyptian engineering that took several generations to complete. The highlight is the Temple of Amun-Ra, the largest surviving column-supported temple in the World. Return to your hotel late afternoon.
