Tour was informative and the guide spoke English well. He also kept us moving but allowed time for everyone to take pictures. Steps were challenging but worth it.

Super nice tourguide. She explained everything very well and told us a lot. We even got to go into sections of the catacombs that where closed off. It was amazing! 10/10 would do again!

It was amazing! The Chapel was my favourite area, and learning about the history of collapses and development of the catacombs was something I had wanted to do for many years. The engineer who perished while reinforcing a section that collapsed on him, and having special access to see that area preserved in his memory was especially touching. The only criticism that I have is that I felt the lighting was too bright for the ambience of the environment. Thank you very much for a great experience, it exceeded my expectations!

Johnny was an absolutely amazing guide! He brought everything to life (pun intended 😂)!! ....The access to the smaller, private passages--the history, depth and just flat out wow-ness of it all has officially made this one of my most treasured memories of Paris....Merci!!!!

Explore the world’s largest underground burial site, a labyrinth of tunnels stretching over 200 miles and housing the remains of millions. The Catacombs date back to the late 18th century and are renowned for their historical and cultural significance.

What to bring

Comfortable shoes and warm clothing recommended, as the Catacombs maintain a temperature of around 14°C (57°F) and the tunnels can be slippery.

What’s not allowed

Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Suitcases, large bags, strollers, and motorcycle helmets are not allowed.

Smoking, drinking, and eating inside is strictly prohibited.

Strollers are not allowed at the venue; use a baby carrier.

Pets are not allowed except for service animals.

Accessibility

The Catacombs are not accessible to wheelchair users or those with limited mobility due to numerous stairs (130 steps to enter, 112 steps to exit) and uneven surfaces.

The experience is not recommended for visitors with heart or respiratory conditions, or for those who may be uncomfortable in confined spaces.
