    What our guests say

The Masai Mara was always on my bucket list, and this 2-day expedition delivered. I’m traveling solo, so the organized transfers and group game drive made it so much easier. My highlight was our afternoon drive: we spotted a cheetah stalking antelope, and even witnessed some playful elephant calves nearby. I was impressed how much ground our guide covered in such a short time and how he tailored the experience for all of us. Meals were better than I’d anticipated – the vegetarian dishes were filling and flavorful, plus plenty of bottled water available. Accommodation was clean and comfortable for the price. The ride to the reserve is long, but with great company and views of the Rift Valley along the way, it was part of the adventure. Highly recommend for solo travelers or those with tight schedules.

We headed out from Nairobi right after sunrise, the 4x4 Land Cruiser already waiting outside our hotel. The drive to Masai Mara felt long but passed quickly thanks to our guide’s stories about the landscape and traditions. Once inside the park, it was nonstop excitement — we spotted elephants and lions only minutes into our game drive! The pop-up roof let us stand and take perfect photos. Afterward, dinner back at camp was surprisingly tasty (even the veggie options), and we felt totally comfortable resting up for the next day. It was an ideal trip for us — as a couple, we wanted a real safari but didn't have a ton of time. The only minor wish would be more time inside the park itself, but packing so much into two days is still amazing. Highly recommend for other couples or solo travelers!

Honestly, this quick safari was the highlight of my Kenya trip. Traveling solo, I found myself instantly welcomed by our small group, and the guide’s storytelling made the long drive fly by. That first sight of the Mara blew my mind—lions and tons of zebra right after we entered the park. The pop-up roof made all the difference for photos and getting a breeze. The accommodation I picked was the comfort option, and it was a solid mid-range—spotless bed, good shower, and kept pretty quiet at night. Dinner was even better than I expected, and bottled water was included which was a relief. I just wished the afternoon drive could’ve gone a bit longer, but that’s a minor thing. If you only have a short stay, this is the best way to see the Mara.

Traveling solo, I was a bit nervous at first, but the 2-day Masai Mara safari from Nairobi was just what I needed. The Land Cruiser was in good shape and I liked the pop-up roof — perfect for photos and fresh air. My guide was really passionate about the wildlife and knew exactly where to go for animal sightings. The afternoon drive was a highlight: within hours I saw elephants, buffalo, even a cheetah lounging in the grass. Meals at the camp included tasty vegetarian options I appreciated, and bottled water was always available. My room was basic but clean, and other travelers around made it feel social. The only downside was the long drive, but it’s so worth it for the experience in the Mara!

Booked this tour as a solo female traveler and felt totally at ease from start to finish. Pickup in Nairobi was right on schedule in a comfy Land Cruiser. Our English-speaking guide was engaging and knew exactly where to find all the best animals—we saw an entire pride of lions plus so many elephants! The lodge had good food and bottled water available, even catering to my vegetarian needs. The drive is long but worth every minute for the memories. Highly recommend for anyone with limited time wanting the real safari experience.
