What to expect

Rio de Janeiro helicopter tour

This shared helicopter tour lets you see Rio de Janeiro’s coastline and cityscape from the air, with flights conducted by an experienced and licensed pilot. Depending on the option you choose, your route focuses on Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf, the beaches, or the main city sights in a 25, 45, or 60-minute experience.

Features

A safety briefing before departure walks you through helicopter procedures, use of your headset, and how boarding and seating work for the shared helicopter with a capacity of up to 3 or 4 passengers. Larger groups are divided into two or more flights so everyone follows the same safety standards.

Views of Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf and the beaches are included on the panoramic option, giving you aerial angles over these landmarks while you listen through your personal headset. Other variants focus on a flight over the main city sights or the city's best sights, depending on the route selected.

Duration is tailored to your plans, with a 25-minute helicopter flight for a short route, a 45-minute flight over main city sights, or a 60-minute helicopter flight with an extended route over all key sights. Each option is a helicopter tour led by a pilot, with in-flight Wi-Fi that keeps you connected while in the air.

Comfort is built into the experience with access to indoor and outdoor lounge areas before your flight, where water and coffee are available alongside Wi-Fi. During the flight, your headset makes it easy to hear and communicate, and you have the opportunity to capture photos and videos from your seat as you fly.
