Took my girlfriend out to Castaway Island Resort and wow, the water is just this wild turquoise you see in travel mags. Not gonna lie, getting there took longer than I hoped (the boat ride is looong, bring a book or something), but totally worth it when we saw the beach. Staff were super chill, always smiling. We spent most of the day in the water—snorkeling is a must, there’s actual NEMO fish everywhere lol. The lunch buffet had like 8 different salads (loved the spicy mango one) and the chicken skewers were juicy. Only thing, wish there were more shady spots to chill near the water, ended up napping under a palm tree by accident. We’ll probably come back with friends next time.

I went solo, hoping to just switch off. The ferry was PACKED, and I felt kinda squished next to a family with toddlers (earplugs, bring them!). Once on the island, the vibe was way calmer. Staff were lovely, and I joined a kayak tour—def recommend for solo peeps, guide cracked a lot of dad jokes. Pool area for adults is super relaxing, but the family section was noisy. Food at lunch was decent, but ran out of veggie options early so I had to settle for salad and rice. Would give 5 stars if not for the crowded boat and lack of veg food.

Honestly, I could live here. The staff are SOOO friendly, always up for a chat. We tried paddle boarding for the first time and failed spectacularly, but the instructors laughed with us, not at us. The pool is split adults/kids, which is actually nice if you want quiet. Buffet was fresh, and there’s free water everywhere so you don’t have to buy bottles. Wish the trip back was faster, but can’t have everything!

The service and scenery both are just UNREAL. Came with my partner for her birthday. Staff surprised her with a song and little cake, which was the cutest thing ever. Spent ages in the pool with cocktails (try the coconut one, sooo creamy). We loved snorkeling, water was super clear. Only small gripe was waiting for the return boat, got pretty sunburnt but that’s on me for forgetting sunscreen. Go early!

Really liked the energy here. Came with two friends. We spent most of the day in the ocean and hit up the little volleyball area (I’m bad at it, but fun anyway). Lunch was tasty—pulled pork and salads stood out. The only weird bit was the pool was divided and we kinda wanted to crash the kids’ section because it had the water slide. Staff said no, but were super polite about it.

Drinks, snacks, boutique purchases, massage, and motorized watersports are not included and are available at an additional cost.
