Getting started

Your journey begins with a personalized pickup from your Casablanca hotel or the iconic Hassan II Mosque. As you settle into your private, air-conditioned vehicle, the city skyscrapers quickly melt away into a scenic patchwork of rolling olive groves and traditional Moroccan countryside. The 5-to-6-hour drive is punctuated with flexible rest stops at your request, allowing you to stretch your legs and breathe in the freshening mountain air as you ascend toward the "Blue Pearl."

What to expect

Arriving in Chefchaouen feels like stepping into a watercolor painting. After checking into your traditional Riad, the evening is yours to witness the Medina’s transformation as the day-trippers depart. Wander through the quiet, azure-blue alleyways, browse artisan shops for hand-woven textiles, or join the locals for a sunset hike to the Spanish Mosque for a panoramic view of the glowing city.

Worried about the logistics of a long-distance trip? This itinerary eliminates the rush, providing a dedicated driver and a pre-arranged overnight stay so you can explore at your own pace. You’ll enjoy an included traditional dinner on your first night and a fresh breakfast the following morning, leaving you energized for a second day of photography and relaxation before the comfortable return drive to Casablanca.

Features

Overnight immersion: Stay in a traditional Riad to experience the Blue City’s most peaceful hours at sunrise and sunset.

Hassle-free transport: Skip the confusing bus schedules with a private, door-to-door service that handles all fuel, tolls, and navigation.

Culinary highlights: Enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner and breakfast included in your stay, saving you the stress of hunting for every meal.

Total flexibility: Unlike rigid group tours, your private driver can stop whenever you spot a perfect mountain vista or need a coffee break.

What to bring

Bring a compact bag for the Riad stay. Many Riads in the Medina are inaccessible by car, and you may have to carry your bag a short distance.

As you may stop at a religious site, ensure shoulders and knees are covered for that portion of the trip.

Riads are beautiful but often have thin walls. If you are a light sleeper, earplugs help drown out the early morning Call to Prayer.

What’s not allowed

While private, please respect local customs. Drinking alcohol in the vehicle or in public spaces in the Medina is prohibited.

Flash photography in the Kasbah: To preserve the artifacts and respect other visitors, please turn off your flash when inside the museum area.

Accessibility

Riad access: Most traditional Riads have steep stairs and no elevators. If you require a ground-floor room, please notify the vendor immediately after booking.

This is a long journey from Casablanca. The vehicle features AC and frequent stops, but it is best suited for travelers who can handle 4-5 hours of seating.

Additional information

You will receive a mobile voucher instantly. The exact pickup time is confirmed via WhatsApp the evening before departure.

Breakfast is included, but water is usually not. Buy a 5-liter bottle at a "Hanout" (local shop) before heading to your Riad to save money.
