Ther first ride we took was good but the person highlighting what we saw did not seem to enthusiastic or informed. Very bland. It was a younger female. The second ride was GREAT, young man, very personable, informative, he jumped off at one stop as he was someone choking! Very mpressed with his commentary and actions!!

Informative narratives. Prompt -every 15 minutes. Many stops to visit. Crowded on a Saturday but always seats available. We had great weather which made it even more enjoyable sitting up on the deck. Worth doing if you are visiting Philly.

The bus passes very quickly through the places marked on the tour map. The headset with the translator didn’t work, and the waiting time for another bus, if you want to get off, is very long. In fact, we took another bus after getting off to go on a visit.

I had one day in Philadelphia and wanted to make the most of it. I wanted to see everything, so I booked the Hop On Hop off bus tour. Everything about this expierence exceeded my expectations. I visited in the middle of December, it was cold, yet I sat on the upper deck of the bus, and was warm. The view was spectacular, I sat in the back of the bus where there was no window so every picture I took was a 10 out of 10. The bus driver, and tour guide combo was fantastic, I wish I could remember his name ( long dark hair, middle aged man) So full of knowledge, we loved the tour so much that we road around twice. Was also asked to be let off at stop 14 to get to the Mutter museum. By the time we got to our stop it felt like we were leaving family. I would recommend this to anyone who loves history and photography.

I am annoyed that we didn't receive some sort of refund due to the amount of stop we had to skip and the amount of the tour that was missed due to the road blocks. I know it's out of your hands but it's out of ours too and we're coming from out of town and no way of knowing and pre purchased no mention we would miss a good chunk of the tour or we would of scheduled it on a different day.

Accessibility

This experience is wheelchair and pram/stroller accessible.

Wheelchairs cannot be larger than 70cm wide, 120cm long, and 135cm high. You can contact the operator if your wheelchair exceeds these measurements, and they will assist you.

Each bus can only accommodate one wheelchair at a time. If there’s already a passenger in a wheelchair on the bus, you may have to wait for the next one.

Additional Information

Before you begin your tour, please head to Stop 1 (The Bourse Building) or Stop 5 (Reading Terminal Market) to receive a validated paper ticket from an official sales agent. Once you have this paper ticket, you can hop on and off freely at any of the other stops on the tour.

If you've purchased a paper ticket directly from the Visitor Center, you can start your tour at any of the stops and don't have to head to Stop 1 or 5.

Stop 1 (The Bourse Building) marks the start and end point of your tour. We recommend starting from this point so you don't miss out on information regarding detours and inaccessible stops.

Please note that the bus does not automatically halt at every stop along your route. It only stops when there are people waiting to board or if you inform the tour guide about wanting to hop off.
