What to expect
Sundays at Hï just got rewritten. Two Spanish women, known together as MESTIZA, are the first all-female act to take the Theatre for a full season, and they're not playing it safe. Picture flamenco palmas folded into melodic house, Spanish percussion crashing through Latin grooves, the kind of sound that makes you stop scrolling and actually look at the booth. Their debut album Quëreles hit number one in Spain. Their second, Spanish Chica, drops in April. The same month, they're the only female Spanish act ever to play Coachella. Then they're back here. Every Sunday. Downstairs, the Club Room flips the energy. Indira Paganotto runs ARTCORE, a psy-techno that goes hard and fast, made by the woman Beatport just gave a whole genre category to.
The Venue: Hï Ibiza
Across from Ushuaïa on Playa d'en Bossa, the four-time #1 club in the world. The Theatre rebuilds its audiovisual setup every week, so MESTIZA's flamenco-fuelled Sundays look as different as they sound. The Club Room is darker, lower, made for Paganotto's psy-techno, the way leather seats were made for fast cars.
