Sunrise at Merapi Volcano

Sit back and relax as you enjoy hotel transfers to head to your first destination, Indonesia’s most active volcano, Mount Merapi. Drive from here to the sunrise point and observe the fast-changing hues in the early morning sky over the towering volcano. Move on to the mini museum to survey a post-eruption collection of melted artifacts. Next, change vehicles and continue towards Borobudur.

Borobudur Temple & Prambanan Temple

On the one-hour-long journey to Borobudur Temple, notice the surrounding villages and local salak (“snake fruit”) plantations. At the temple, follow the guide to different parts of the complex and hear of the temple’s origin stories, its reconstruction, and foundational principles.

Last but not least, take a 90-minute drive to Prambanan. Walk around the temple with the guide and gain insights into historical influences, passed-down tales, and more. Venture through the temple in your free time and note its architectural intricacies. After the visit to the two World Heritage Sites, return to the city with a heightened appreciation for Indonesia.

The entrance fee for the Borobudur and Prambanan temples is $25 per person, with two-person tickets available for $45.
Visitors must wear modest clothing, avoiding short pants or skirts while entering the temples.
Carry your passport or ID card.
Tour timings may be subject to external factors such as traffic.
Please note that a daily quota on the number of visitors may apply on certain dates.
