Pamukkale is one of those places that honestly looks unreal in photos, but I swear it’s even more IMPRESSIVE in person. Was there with my sister last weekend. The water was wayyy colder than I expected (in a good way, super refreshing after walking around in the sun all morning). Our guide, Elif, was funny and let us wander on our own for a bit, which I liked. Only thing – bring a hat, there’s basically no shade. The pools get crowded around 11am, so we tried to hit the top ones first. Worth the early wake up!

Came here with my mom and we had a blast. The place looks like a snow mountain in the middle of summer! We dipped our feet in the pools and it felt so nice after all the walking. Our guide was super chill and even helped us take family pics – thx, Ayse! Hierapolis ruins were cool too, but the walk there is kinda steep. Wear grippy shoes or you'll slide around, trust me. Would bring snacks next time, food lines were a bit slow.

Went solo, joined a group tour. Very organized, but ngl, the bus ride felt loooong (almost 4 hrs each way). Still, seeing the white terraces up close was wild. Took so many photos! Lunch was okayish, nothing fancy. Our guide, Deniz, gave us some cool history bits. Def worth it just for the views, but wish we had more time at the pools and less at the jewelry shop. Would go again but maybe self-drive next time.

So, Pamukkale itself is AMAZING, like, really unique. But the tour? Meh. Felt rushed – half hour at the pools, then off to the museum. Our guide kept moving us along, even though people wanted to chill. Also, bus AC barely worked, and it was suuuper hot. But the views are worth it. Just maybe go with a diff company or on ur own if you want more freedom.

We visited Pamukkale on our honeymoon, and honestly it was the highlight of our trip. Got there early, so we had the terraces almost to ourselves for like 20 mins (magical). The water was crystal clear. We paid extra to swim in Cleopatra’s pool – kinda touristy but fun. Loved the little fish nibbling at my toes! Big shoutout to our guide, Burak, who made everyone laugh. Don’t forget sunscreen!
