Visited Zelve last week with my boyfriend and was honestly blown away. The caves are SO COOL – you can walk through actual rooms where people legit lived centuries ago. We went late afternoon and it was quiet, the light on the rocks is something else. Bring sneakers though, the paths are kinda uneven and I nearly tripped twice lol. There was a QR code thing for info but my phone kept losing signal, so maybe download stuff in advance if ur a nerd like me. Didn’t see many signs explaining stuff but wandering was half the fun. Also, don’t expect fancy bathrooms – they’re basic and cost extra. Still, def worth the trek out here!

Went with friends, and it’s bigger than I expected! Zelve kind of feels like a movie set. The history is wild, and it’s like the rocks are telling stories if you listen close enough. A little bummed there’s not much info unless you scan the QR codes, but that’s life now, I guess. Also, the place is clean-ish but saw some trash in corners. Crowds weren’t bad, maybe because it was cloudy and kinda chilly. Bring a jacket!

We went as a family of four and honestly, even my grumpy teen was impressed with the cave churches! The colors inside some of those rooms are so BRIGHT. Felt a bit like stepping into a painting. My tip: bring water (no fountains inside!) and go as soon as it opens because by 11am it was suuuper packed. We kind of rushed the last two chapels cause the lines got wild, but still, we got some epic pics outside.

This was my highlight in Cappadocia! I went solo, wandered around for almost three hours just looking at all the little chapels. Some of them are tiny and you squeeze in with a few other people, but that made it feel kinda special. Staff was chill but strict about no pics inside (I saw someone get told off for sneaking a phone shot). Bring good shoes, the ground is bumpy.

Visited with my parents and husband. The place is a maze of caves and churches, some with stairs that are a bit tricky. Frescoes inside are AMAZING, especially in the Dark Church (it costs extra but def worth it). Not much shade, so wear a hat if you’re there mid-day. Would have liked more explanations but still a memorable spot.
